Recommended as a rich hydrator for mature and/or dry skin

In early April, TIA gave me the opportunity to test drive Michael Todd True Organics Damascus Rose Enriched Anti-Wrinkle Cream ($89 in the shop), which states that it is targeted for “dryer and more mature skin types.” The cream is white with a silky texture – it applies evenly and thoroughly. It has a delicate rose scent that is lovely, not overpowering. Even though I prefer unscented products, I didn’t mind the Damascus Rose light scent at all. When applied, the cream feels as if it absorbs into the skin and moisturizes well.

The very best part about this cream is that a little really goes a long way. I’m used to having to slather on products from companies who sell you skimpy amounts. Most of the time when someone is telling me a “pea-size” amount is good for your entire face and neck, I find that to be more than an exaggeration and closer to an outright lie. I don’t know anyone whose face and neck are that small. But this is the FIRST facial product I’ve ever tried where I had to keep reminding myself to scale back during every use. If I had to pay for this product, I’m not sure how long I could make it last, but I’ve used it for a month and still have product left in the jar.

After application, you know you have it on – you can feel it – but it is not greasy. It definitely does make your skin more supple and hydrated. I can’t say I noticed any difference in skin definition, wrinkle size, plumpness or other qualities. But for hydration and moisturizing alone, this cream fit the bill.

Being 56, my skin is definitely mature yet not dry. At my age, I still have combo/oily skin with an annoying oily T-zone. It seems rather unfair later in life to have to deal with both wrinkles and breakouts simultaneously… Overall, this cream was not a good match for me because while it has a variety of wonderful oils in it, I ended up breaking out. It was too rich for my oily skin. It specifically states that it’s intended for dehydrated skin; I imagine that it would be wonderful for very dry skin types. I would recommend this for dry to extremely dry skin.

I have used it for more than a month and I am glad didn't pay $125 for it. It's not worth the money. I bought it on LivingSocial for $25. I feel like it is sitting on my face. Even in the morning washing my face I can still feel it. I was using a very small amount. No difference in all over skin condition. The ingredients are good though.
