I am a woman in my early 30's with acne-prone combination skin .I have cystic acne only on my left cheek, something that started a few years ago. I cleanse my face twice a day and I am always skeptical about using new products, anything that can make my acne worse.
I have been using the Michael Todd True Organics Charcoal Detox Deep Pore Gel Cleanser ($24) for the last 4 weeks and I am really liking this product. I splash my face with water, dispense one pump of the cleanser on to my palm and foam it with some water and then use it on my face. Foam/Gel cleansers usually tend to leave my skin dry but doing this really helps avoid that.
This product really brought all my cystic acne to the surface and using benzoyl peroxide gel on it has helped me get rid of it faster, overall speeding up the healing process.
The smell is pleasant and I just need one full pump for my entire face. The only thing that bothers me is that you have to shake well before using it but it is a small price to pay for how effective this product is. It really does have a detox effect on your skin. My skin is so much clearer now. I highly recommend it!
