An organic face mask that deep cleans without stripping or drying skin

Pros

A total pampering treat

Cons

Does not help firm skin

The Michael Todd True Organics Pearl and Silk Facial Mask ($34) is a perfect “everyday” kind of mask that feels refreshing. It deep cleans without stripping my skin and leaving it dry. I’m 56 years old with combination skin, and it was great for gently exfoliating and providing a bit of moisture. I used this almost every day for a month while taking a nightly bath. Even though my skin can be sensitive, this product never stung or irritated or turned my skin red.

My face did appear to have more of a healthy glow from using this product. It also felt luxurious and had a nice, light flower smell that made it a pampering treat. And knowing that the product is organic makes it all the better! I can’t say that it made my skin any “firmer,” but I don’t personally believe any topical ingredients can do that, except perhaps retin A.

The mask has a gel consistency — it’s an aloe vera gel and glycerin base with acai fruit powder and hydrolyzed silk, pearl powder and essential oils. Although the product dries somewhat on your face, it never pulls or feels dry and scratchy.

This was a total pampering treat that I enjoyed using!
