I often have issues with dry lips and during the winter it seems to get even worse. I'm always putting lip balm under or over my lipstick. So, when asked to review Michael Todd True Organics Tinted Lip Protector SPF 18 ($16/3 in the shop), I was happy to see that it was tinted. This saves me from having to apply lipstick before or after the lip protector.
The best surprise was the minty flavor. It made my lips tingle (in a good way), especially when I put it on out in the cold. The mint does go away after a few minutes, but if you don't like the tingle of mint, you won't enjoy this lip protector. Another pleasant aspect of the product was that it has SPF 18. I'm pretty diligent about protecting my skin from the sun during the summer months, but I admit that it is not a top priority once the days get shorter. It's nice to have this protection included and not have to use a second product.
This lip protector is 82% organic without parabens, sulfates, artificial dyes or fragrance. This is a plus in my book! Overall, I would recommend this product. It feels good on my lips, protects and has a minty surprise when you apply it.
