Effective body wash that helps fight odors related to hormonal changes

By Ann

One of the unpleasant little secrets of menopause is that hormone fluctuations can leave one smelling...odd. Not exactly bad, but definitely different than what one is used to. Although my menopause symptoms have yet to arrive in full (I'm in my late 40s), I do have the occasional days where my skin has a slightly musky scent, even straight out of the shower. I was curious to try Mirai Purifying Body Wash since it claims to be effective in eliminating body odors associated with hormonal changes, which most soaps and body washes are unable to do.

Mirai's odor-fighting properties come from persimmon and green tea, and the body wash is rounded out with aloe and rosemary, as well as coconut and olive oil. It comes in an airless pump the size of a standard shampoo bottle, and it creates a slight lather. I found my skin to be smooth and refreshed after using it, with a light, pleasant floral scent that persisted all day and into the next.

Does it really get rid of the smell? Well, I didn't experience any during the month I tried the product, so no news is good news! This could have just been one of the months when my hormones didn't act up, so I hesitate to deem this a silver bullet. However, it's well worth a try if one regularly experiences changes in skin odor associated with hormonal fluctuations. If nothing else, you've got a great little body wash that will last a while.

As for me, I'll probably get another bottle. It certainly costs more than a bar of soap, but it’s comparable in price to other favorites of mine. I call this one a must-try!

So in other words "Anti-bacterial" does not work for "aging" smell problems.
