Murad's Age Diffusing Serum ($74) is not for purists but it boasts of increasing firmness, boosts collagen and helps reduce the appearance of medium to deep wrinkles. So when asked if I was interested to try it, I agreed to give it a shot.

The product came in a 1 fl. oz. pump bottle. It had a pleasant citrus scent, light and smooth in texture and white in color. It is part of a three step skin care program, this being the step two product which is to treat and repair. I followed the directions using it after cleansing with my non Murad cleanser and applying a thin layer of the serum on my face and other targeted areas. It only takes about 2 pumps to apply on my face.

I am mainly concerned about the fine lines and creases developing in between my eyebrows, laugh lines that are slightly starting to show. I also strive to keep my dry skin hydrated and moist and am looking for a boost in collagen production.

The first time I applied it on my face, I felt a slight stingy feel on my skin, but I have very sensitive skin so it didn't surprise me. I was very cautious as to the amount I used to avoid any reactions. Luckily, there weren't any. I gradually increased the amount after a few days. After about a week of use, I did notice a slight improvement on the firmness of my skin. I continued to use it for a total of four weeks. I used it at night and in the morning, I would check if the skin has improved. Overall, I saw a slight increase in the firmness of my skin. It seemed to have reduced the appearance of fine lines but didn't really eliminate them. Perhaps with more continued use, I would see a more dramatic change.

Murad's Age Diffusing Serum is priced at $74 per bottle. Though it was not a complete disappointment, it didn't impress me either. I think that there are other products that are less expensive than this one that could deliver the same results if not more.
