Although I am very happy with my current skin care routine, I am always looking to try new products. So when Truth In Aging asked me to test My Prime Dynamic Lifting Serum ($75 in the shop), I was more than happy to oblige.
In 2012, the founder, Tessa Yatadco, left her law practice to start her company, My. Her mission is to provide products that combine the latest in skin care science with the finest botanical ingredients from Asia. She writes:
"I wanted to create an honest brand that empowers women and improves lives. For me, this means creating highly effective skin care products that have been clinically tested for safety and efficacy. It also means giving back to my birthplace, the Philippines, by creating economic and social opportunities for the Filipino women and men who cultivate and extract the oils we use in our products."
My Prime Dynamic Lifting Serum’s airless pump protects the product from any contaminates. The serum was instantly absorbed, and I felt an immediate tightening of the skin. However, it did leave me feeling a bit dry.
According to the information on their website, My Prime Dynamic Lifting Serum contains Pepha-Tight, a microalgae complex that provides firming benefits for a contoured, lifted, and toned appearance. Further research reveals that it takes time to reveal the effects of this complex, and that the recommended amount is 5%. I’m not sure what the percentage of Pepha-Tight in this My product is, so I cannot comment on the effectiveness of this ingredient specifically.
Additionally, the inclusion of mangosteen and rosemary extracts improve skin texture by making it more radiant and smooth, and it also contains vitamin E as tocopheryl acetate, hydrolyzed collagen, and panthenol.
After using My Prime Dynamic Lifting Serum for over four weeks, I didn’t see improved firming or contouring. However, my aesthetician told me that my face look firmer and more plump than it had the previous month, especially along my cheek bones. Off course she attributed that to her facials, but it certainly could have been the effect of the Prime Dynamic Lifting Serum.
With the onset of the cold, a moisturizer would have been a good addition to a regimen including the My Prime Dynamic Lifting Serum. People with oily skin or those living in humid climates may not run into this issue, so I would recommend it for them. All in all, I won’t cross it off my list, but I do need a good moisturizer to supplement it.

Yes Marta I think the addition of My Prime Mattifying moisturizer might give better results for this product. I have a combination skin so in winter shine is not a problem for me.

Thank you for the review Naheed. I am currently testing the My Prime Mattifying Moisturizer and it does moisturize while leaving my complexion less shiny than it usually is.
