Last week, I was fortunate enough to meet renownded dermatologist Dr. Dennis Gross and even receive one his famous skin care treatments! We had a lovely chat, and I am so proud that we recently added several of his incredibly effective anti-aging products to our shop. Watch this video to find out more about my treatment and our conversation.

Marta, great video and so interesting! I was particularly glad to watch it since I had my own consultation at Dr. Gross’ office yesterday. As Kim mentioned, it’s a lovely place. His team is so pleasant and helpful, and Dr. Gross has a terrific, low-key manner and is obviously very thoughtful about the work he is doing and how he develops his treatments and products. I, too, had the Alpha Beta® peel, which combines several different kinds of acids. Interestingly, Dr. Gross said that he was the first to develop a “no down time” peel and the formulation is currently in its third generation. He usually recommends that patients have these treatments monthly.

The peel solution was applied and left on for only two minutes (very different from the days when I used to get glycolic peels), and then followed by two different neutralizers and a conditioning solution. It tingled a little bit, but not badly, and 24 hours later I’ve seen absolutely no redness or irritation (nor any flaking, at least yet).

I also went home with the at-home peel pads, as well as a regimen of several other products – a lighter and a heavier moisturizer (which are dreamy), the ferulic/retinol brightening serum, and the similar eye serum. I think it’s fascinating that he is so much in favor of including retinol in anti-aging regimes – an ingredient I’ve avoided until now. He also mentioned that he thinks of skin, like muscle, as doing best with a consistent, regular routine.

I’m so looking forward to trying the products and letting you know how I do! Thank you so much, Marta – and Dr. Gross!

Thanks Marta for inviting me to join you at Dr. Gross' office. It was quite an amazing experience. His office is beautiful and very white, and sort of how you might picture a glamorous 5th ave Derm office. In the lobby I heard chatter of botox and watched a few fancy ladies come and go. I felt a bit out of place at first, but the girl who brought me into the treatment room was super relaxed and friendly.

She explained everything as she did it, and the peel literally took about 7 minutes. I am all about a quick and effective treatment. And I'd much rather that, than waste my time getting all sorts of lotions slathered on my face just for effect. This treatment is to the point. Your skin looks refreshed instantly. I have sensitive skin and didn't have any redness at all. Although it's a bit stingy for a few moments, it's not uncomfortable. I can truly and honestly say that my skin was incredibly glowy and dewy and fresh all day. I can see how people would get hooked on these peels. You can really see the results. I had the peel on a Thursday and was told that I might have some light peeling on Saturday. But come Monday my skin would be fully restored. I did have some VERY subtle peeling around a blemish. And she was right, on Monday my skin looked beautiful!

I loved meeting Dr. Gross. He's definitely very passionate about what he does, and extremely knowledgeable. And when I asked about my neck, he hinted at a new product that he's been developing for a long time specifically for the neck. It sounded very promising and I can't wait to hear more!

Thanks again Marta and Dr. Gross!

Hi Marta, I am 54 and have some loss of firmness and sun spot issues. I am very interested in the Dr. Gross line and would love to try the Peptide firming oil. Thanks for this site, I love following all the new developments. Kathy

I am so excited you are carrying this brand and I am looking forward to hearing about your results. The DDG peptide oil has quite an impressive list of ingredients and I love that Squalane is at the top of the list. I have yet to try a facial oil but my biggest issues can be dryness and uneven skin tone. Of course I am in the early stages of skin sagging but determined to do what I can to delay the inevitable. I would love to review this product.

    Hello Marta,

I am a firm believer in peptides for skin care and I've also been incorporating more oils into my regimen. I would love to be able to test the new Dr. Dennis Gross oil. I just turned 58 last week and my skin looks pretty good for my age, but I'm always on the lookout to test new skin care products. It's my passion.

Thank you for the video on your visit with Dr. Dennis Gross. I turned 56 yesterday and feel I would be a good candidate to try the Peptide Firming Oil. My skin has begun to lose elasticity and I have a few sun spots that need immediate care. I have tried Indie Lee and love her use of squalane which you do not see used very often. Thanks for your consideration, Kelly.
