Sagging Skin

When I was a kid, there was a product called "Fizzies". Imagine a kool-aid-flavored alka-seltzer tablet, minus any medicinal benefits. The instructions called for dropping the tablet into a glass of tap water, and watching the H2O "fizz" into a carbonated treat. The instructions specifically did not call for placing a whole tablet directly into your mouth so that you could foam like a rabid dog while chasing your sisters around the house.Doing things that are counter to the manufacturers instructions, even when you like the results, is called "off-label product usage", and (disclaimer/disclaimer/disclaimer) should be done with equal parts caution and common sense.

So, on to my off-label product usage of Nia 24 (face cream). I started using the Nia 24 line of products about a year ago, after an eye-opening (no pun intended) bout with skin cancer. My circumstances and review of the product line were posted last November, so I won't repeat the story, but suffice it to say, I am extremely impressed with the product and the results I am seeing. In particular, I like NIA 24 Intensive Recovery.

My off-label usage is to apply the Intensive Recovery product liberally morning and night to my actual lips, and then follow up after a few minutes with a lip balm (containing sunscreen) to seal in the Nia 24 product.Age had caused my already thin lips to become even smaller, and after 30 days of off-label usage, my lips are noticeably "plumper" (and I think they have even regained a bit more natural color) without costly and "iffy" injections. Who knew?

I am betting that my smoochers are benefiting from a "niacin flush". Niacin is one of the primary active ingredients in the Nia 24 line (hence the name), and the line is formulated to provide an ongoing "dosage" of niacin and other good-for-your-skin ingredients throughout the day/night. The flushed sensation is completely pleasant, and I do not seem to be developing a "tolerance" which might lead to reduced results over time.

The plumping and slight pinkness last nearly all day, and my lips are much softer and smoother than they were 30 days ago. This off-label usage has also done wonders to address any chapping/peeling that comes from spending extended hours out of doors (year round),and my lipstick never looked better. Best yet, I don't have to buy, pack, or apply a "different" product to get a younger-looking smile.

Great input Kira and Niall, and I am glad this product line is working well for you too. It is a little pricey for me, but it lasts forever and it really works, and my pre-cancerous sun damage patches have either "gone away" or have been greatly reduced. It has really done wonders for me... if you try it on your lips, let me know what your results are.

The emerging information on the benefits of Niacin is very inpiring, I am currently using a DIY potion with Niacinamine and D-Glucosamine for collagen production, and I am liking the results... may be will try this next:-))

Yeah, this is a great line. I bought the Nia24 intensive night cream a few months ago, and use it a few times a week. It's very, very "active" as they say, and does wonders for my sun damage. What's even nicer about this line is that it is so very affordable. If LaPrairie or Revive sold this stuff, everything would cost $300-500.

The new austerity rules, in my book.
