Just in: Nurture My Body’s Exfoliating Cleanser has so many good things in it that I want to leave it on for several minutes before rinsing off. I also love Nurture My Body’s Cleansing Milk and Cream Cleanser - and as a rule I don’t even like creamy cleansers!. The Nurture My Body range is reasonably priced given the quality of the ingredients.

The exfoliator leaves my skin looking radiant and feeling soft. The best part – as this is a bit of an obsession right now – is that it closes the open pores on my nose. All of this was accomplished gently and effectively with jojoba beads doing the scrubbing part. There's anti-inflammatory and soothing chamomile, healing calendula and antioxidant hops. Comfrey is a Nurture My Body favorite and it can speed up the replacement of skin cells as well as providing some protection against the sun.

The cleansing milk has plantain as a cleansing agent and anti-inflammatory burdock. This is a useful antiager with a research pedigree to back it up. In vivo tests revealed that a 1.2 percent burdock fruit extract formulation applied twice daily to the forearm over a 12 week period resulted in a 1.3 increased fold of procollagen content plus increased hyaluronan levels. In addition, when applied to the face, facial wrinkles were significantly reduced.

The cleansing cream majors on avocado oil. Avocados are still the unsung heroes amongst superfoods. They are packed with more than enough oleic acid to get your omega fix and the oleic helps other ingredients penetrate the skin because it is so similar to the skin’s sebum. Avos are also a great source of vitamin E and folate, essential for dividing skin cells. Meanwhile, dandelion root is an excellent source of beta-carotene, vitamin A and vitamin C and chickweed consoles irritated and flakey skin.

NMB tends to feature lavender in its products. As some of you may know, lavender oil has recently become a controversial ingredient. However, my research on lavender suggests that only direct contact with pure lavender oil should be avoided as the potentially carcinogenic component of the oil, linalool, seems to be dose dependent.
