Shortly after being selected to trial and review Nurture My Body Moisturizing Shampoo, my sample arrived and so began another experiment. Don't misunderstand, I was tickled to participate especially since it arrived so quickly. I felt I was up for the challenge and more than ready to get started. What I'd been using wasn't working. You see, I have thick hair that usually requires sudsing two or more times to feel "clean." As a result, I am a shampoo snob having tried one brand after another yet never settling on one dependable "go to" product. Leading brands are frequently reformulated while others quit working altogether so I continually have to make adjustments.

Despite trying to deny the connection between suds and dryness over the years, I now embrace sulfate free, natural and preferably organic formulas almost exclusively for all my beauty, hair and skin care needs. My strategy has always been simply to obtain clean, shiny, bouncy and fresh smelling hair that is not frizzy! It should not be so hard. Lately, I have also experienced some typical effects of aging including hormonal changes that have had a noticeable impact on my appearance. So far, I am not managing these changes to my hair very well at all. For all these reasons, ordinary shampoo simply does not work for me. I am pleased to report Nurture My Body Moisturizing Shampoo is no ordinary shampoo!

After anxiously opening my package and twisting off the plastic bottle cap it was time for Step #1, the sniff test.  I instantly liked this shampoo's fresh, herbal scent and knew things were off to a good start. I am very scent conscious and it's always pleasant to find something that smells so great. Anyone who is scent sensitive should not find this product as irritating as some but know it also comes fragrance free.

Step #2 and really key no matter what product I'm using is to thoroughly saturate my tresses with water and this takes a bit of effort especially if two or more days have gone by in-between shampoos. Since I'm also curly, I try not to disturb the curl pattern more than necessary. There was an immediate difference while using the Nurture My Body Moisturizing Shampoo. The product seemed to glide through all my strands with ease making short work of cleansing right down to the scalp. So often mild formulations I've tried leave my hair sticky or frequently with an unpleasant smell that lingers long after shampooing.

I have to say this is hands down the most effective yet gentlest hair cleanser I've ever found. I simply loved this shampoo and can't wait to pair it with the companion conditioner. I intend to order a full size bottle of each as soon as possible. I am so confident in this line, I expect I'll branch out and try additional Nuture My Body products in the future. Thanks for this opportunity!
