Nutra-Lift Shampoo

Our Rating: 0 stars

What is it? A non-soap non-detergent shampoo that cleanses, thickens and strengthens hair.

For people with: Damaged, thin hair.

Recommended use: Apply to wet hair and scalp. Massage into rich lather. Allow to set on hair for approximately one minute. Rinse. Repeat if necessary. Then use UltraNutrient Conditioner for best results.

TIA recommends for people in: 30+

Highlights:

Marta liked that the Nutra-Lift Shampoo ($23/8oz and $36/16oz) didn’t have a silicone in sight, and was impressed that there were so many quality plant extracts included that provide antiaging and cleansing properties at the same time. Case in point: four types of seaweed, which are antioxidants that prevent hair from being damaged by the sun.

Ines says: I have received my Nutra lift bundle and I am very happy, is too quick to report but so far I love the shampoo!!! I love the fact that it has sea kelp and biotin and so many others good ingredients. Not so convinced about the conditioner, it does not detangle my hair so easy, I mix it with Giovanni Nutra Fix deep conditioner, anyway, too son too report, but this shampoo is a keeper for sure.

Kim says: Marta introduced me to Nutra–Lift’s shampoo, which is AMAZING. The ingredient list will blow you away, you’ll want to slather it on your skin (but don’t). I suggest you add this shampoo to your routine asap.

Complaints:

Carol Aguilar says: I received a sample of the skin cleanser when I ordered some of the shampoo that Marta recommended. I was not too crazy about the shampoo but loved this cleanser.

Ingredients we love:  Seaweed, which prevents hair from sun damage, astaxanthin, an antioxidant found in salmon that is associated with hair growth, and burdock, an old scalp treatment that is thought to promote hair growth. Also included is vitamin C; C deficiencies can make hair dry and brittle.

Ingredients we don’t: n/a

Retail Price: $22

5 Best Shampoos –updated December 2009

Bottom line: Marta loves both the Nutra-Lift shampoo and the conditioner and says that they restored her faith in hair care. The shampoo has even made the cut for TIA’s 5 Best Shampoos twice. We love that there are no silicones added into this mix, and that our hair is strengthened by four types of seaweed and myriad other plant extracts. Plus, at $20 for an eight ounce bottle, it isn’t a bad deal either!
