This was a very exciting review for me to do. I received a trio of full-size products from a brand called Nuvosa about five weeks ago. I got the Flawless Age Protection Toner, Deep Wrinkle Remedy Serum, and the Reborn Wrinkle Shield Moisturizer. I was quite impressed with the packaging and the dispensing of the products. The toner and serum were dispensed by pushing down on the top and just the right amount was given with one pump.

All of the products have DMAE, hyaluronic acid, and organic aloe vera extract. According to the Nuvosa website, the claim is that DMAE will not create great results on its own. It says that DMAE’s effectiveness is dependent on which ingredients and formulas it is paired with. Nuvosa feels they have found the right combination of products and formulas. Now what do I think? Also what does my esthetician think? I visited her at the beginning of the testing and again just this past week so I think two great opinions here are better than one. First let’s get into the how and what.

The regimen is used twice a day, (morning and evening).

Flawless Age Protection Toner: I have sensitive skin and toners generally make my face a bit red and irritated, but the was very non-irritating. I had no problem at all with it and it left my face feeling clean and tight, but not dry. After cleansing I would use one to two pushes down on the cap with a cotton ball. You have plenty of toner to do your whole face and neck. I am not a toner person, but I would definitely use this one. No burning or dryness from it. My face actually felt moisturized but not oily. The ingredients in this toner are loaded with organics, such as aloe vera and bilberry, orange, lemon, and cranberry extracts – very powerful antioxidants. If you are prone to breakouts, I think you will find that this toner will do the trick in keeping them at bay. It has black willowbark, which is a beta-hydroxy acid. It helps to exfoliate the outermost layer of the skin that’s most important from a visual standpoint. It also contains tea tree oil, which is a strong antiseptic but still is hydrating on the skin.

Deep Wrinkle Remedy Serum: The dispensing of this product is quite unique. One push on the top and you have enough to apply to your face, forehead, and neck. I applied the product in an upward and circular motion. It goes on so smooth and it feels like velvet on your skin. The top ingredients are DMAE, and one of my favorites, hyaluronic acid. (Nuvosa says that its concentration levels are 100 times more potent than competing products.) Why is HA one of my favorites? It helps the formation of collagen when applied to the skin, and gives skin renewed fullness and volume. It helps to boost the DMAE and other ingredients. There is also Coenzyme Q10, which helps restore and maintain moisture. It helps by slowing down the thinning of the skin by speeding up the production of new skin cells thereby improving collagen and elastin. Alpha lipoic acid is another ingredient, and a very important one at that. It helps eliminate damaged collagen and also helps the other ingredients be more effective. Again, there are many more organics and naturals as well so this product seems to have it all. However, I noticed that if the moisturizer is not used after this serum and the toner, you may become a bit dry. I checked the Nuvosa website, which highlighted the importance of moisturizing after using the toner and serum.

Reborn Wrinkle Shield Moisturizer: Of all three products, this is my favorite. It is the only product of the three that has Methylsufonylmethane (MSM). I did a little research on this and discovered that MSM is a powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial; MSM supplies sulfur to the body, allowing the body to heal itself. It increases the formation of collagen and elastin, while preventing cross-linking between cells, the main cause of wrinkles, lines, and scars. When used in a cream like Reborn, MSM can help treat acne, psoriasis, eczema, and dermatitis. This is in addition to its ability to eliminate the appearance of wrinkles, brown spots, and spider veins. MSM is even used to treat burn victims to repair scar tissue and it’s been proven to contribute to healthy skin, hair, and nails. The TIA website backs up what is said here. The lotion is very thick and a little goes a long way.

Now what do I think? I was a little reluctant to try a new product. I was very happy with the AQ Active Serum ($149 in the TIA shop), but I thought, well, you never know. Did I notice a difference? Most definitely a difference in the texture of my skin. Very soft and smooth. What I noticed most were the deep wrinkles on my forehead had become much softer. I loved the dispensing of the products, and I still have quite a bit left even after using it for almost five weeks. I was quite happy with all of the products and the Nuvosa website gives the price for the trio as $148 or if you sign up for the Replenishment program, it will only cost you $49 for the trio and then it will be sent to you every 60 days. You can cancel at any time. I would definitely buy this just for the reduction in the deep forehead wrinkles.

Now when I went for my facial just a few days ago, my esthetician told me that she felt my forehead looked much better and my skin was firmer with better elasticity. So all in all I recommend these products. There is nothing nasty as far as ingredients, I had great results, and it is available at a great price. What more could a girl ask for? I’m sure we could all think of something!

Great review, and the ingredient lists look fantastic. Perfect time for me to pick up a few gifts for Christmas (and one for myself)
