Ojon Ultra Hydrating Shampoo- tested and rejected

Is a Solution for:
Oily Hair, Thinning Hair & Shedding, Dry or Brittle Hair

My red-rimmed eyes looked as if they had been crying for a week. My hair looked like an abandoned bird's nest. This was particularly ironic since I had just used Ojon's Ultra Hydrating Shampoo ($22), which is for "ultra-dry, unruly hair". Naively, I had assumed this meant it was supposed to TREAT dry, unruly hair, not GIVE me dry, unruly hair.

After an hour of looking as if I was carrying around my own, personal electric storm, I decided that I needed to rinse my hair free of Ojon and condition again (with the lovely Aubrey Organics and not, it should be noted with Ojon's Ancient Tribal Conditioner as it has a tad too much behentrimonium chloride, known to damage the eyes). Oh, Ojon.

Which reminds me. Ojon is misleading not just about the effects of its Ultra Hydrating Shampoo, but what's in it. All of Ojon's product propaganda, I mean marketing materials, tells us that the range uses a hydrating oil from the Ojon tree, found deep in the Amazonian forest. There is no such thing as an Ojon tree.

Ojon is basically good old coc0 betaine, a derivative of cocamide and glycine betaine that is made from coconut oil and is in just about every run of the mill shampoo. More coconut oil comes in the form of cocoglucoside, which is mixed with fruit sugar to make a foaming agent and emulsifier.

As far as my red eyes are concerned, the culprit is likely to be butylphenyl methylpropional. This is a fragrance additive that causes skin and ocular irritation. The International Fragrance Association restricts its use because of this. Mind you, it could also be Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, another fragrance that causes allergic reactions in 89% of eczema sufferers. Magnesium nitrate, used as a stabilizer or preservative, is described as extremely hazardous to skin at 100% doses.

It was the best shampoo ever. My hair is very fine, but after using Ojon shampoo my hair looks really thick and very manageable. I am gutted. Please bring it back.

Ojon's first original ultra hydrating formula needs to come back, PLEASE!!!!! This was the BEST of the BEST when it came to shampoos and conditioners. My hair has not been in the same shape since I had to stop using when it was discontinued and its crazy that its selling on Ebay for almost $300. Why did Ojon stop making this shampoo and conditioner??? PLEASE bring it back!!!!! Sorry:( but I have tried the other Ojon versions but they just are not as good as the original. You lost a loyal customer of many years.

The Ojon Original Ultra Hydrating shampoo and conditioner WAS absolutely wonderful!!! It was great for curly, frizzy, dry, and treated hair along with giving great softness and super SHINE to you hair. It also had an amazing smell!!! PLEASE BRING IT BACK:):)
