The cold winter weather we’ve experienced this year has dramatically made my skin drier, so Osmosis Immerse Intense Moisture Boost ($54) couldn’t have come at a better time. I’m always in search of a product that will give added moisture to my dry, delicate and sensitive skin. Now that I am in my early 40s, I want to make sure my skin is always hydrated to help prevent wrinkles.
Osmosis Immerse is oil based, comes in a 1 oz. bottle, and has an easy-to-use pump. I like that the pump dispenses the perfect amount of product. The formula contains powerful antioxidant oils from blueberry seed and calendula, along with emu oil. I love calendula and blueberry, so it was a perfect match! Aside from that, I’ve used calendula-based products before and am aware of its regenerative properties. This product has a slight scent of lemon. Since the lemon scent comes from an essential oil and is not artificial, I didn’t mind it.
I followed the directions and applied it after my usual serum. Two pumps gave me enough to apply all over the face. I gently applied and massaged the oil onto my skin so it could be fully absorbed. Meticulously checking my skin, I saw how it absorbed most of the oil a few minutes after application. I say most of the oil because I found that it left my skin just a bit oily to touch. During the day, I leave it on for as long as I can. I don’t wear makeup everyday so it doesn’t bother me that my naked skin showed its natural glow. Keeping my skin moisturized was more important.
I used Immerse for five weeks and after every nightly application, I woke up in the morning to glowing and dewy skin. It surely quenched my thirsty skin and definitely worked on restoring moisture to my dry skin.
I would buy this product and continue to use it during the winter season; I highly recommend it to people with dry skin.
