I always am on the lookout for damage-repair hair products that really deliver and improve the texture and appearance of my thick, wavy and unruly mane.

Every other day I wash, condition and style my just past shoulder length hair, and this routine can really hamper and take away the shine and healthy, vibrant look.  I need to rely on anti-damage elixirs to counteract the brutal heat of the blow dryer and curling and flat irons.  My cowlick-y strands absolutely require careful and thorough styling attention; no shortcuts.

I use my curling iron to both straighten and flatten wayward hairs, as well as loosely curling sections of hair on both sides and around the top of my head.  So I am applying full strength, “hibachi-like” heat to my hair on a regular basis, without giving my hair any kind of a break.

After using the Phytokératine Reparative Hair Serum for four weeks, my hair feels much softer, silkier and shinier, and the ends are now healthy and smoother looking – eliminating all dryness and frizziness.   The repair process was evident after the first application.  I like to use two to three pumps of the serum each time and run the product through my hair mid-shaft to the ends, and then work any remaining product onto the top layers.

It is a perfect consistency and my color and highlight-treated locks are intact with the true hue shining through (no complications whatsoever).  The directions on the package note to use only one pump, which works well on the ends only, but I like to distribute it throughout my hair.

I love the fragrance; it is light and smells like lilies of the valley.  I am sensitive to many fragrance-laden products, but this one is most pleasant and doesn't linger or overpower.

According to a consumer study with participants using the serum on dry ends, 77% felt that their ends were softer and 72% of their split ends were repaired.  A clinical study shows that split ends were sealed back together after the very first application – which to me is truly miraculous and amazing!

The product is recommended for bleached or processed hair, hair with tons of breakage and split ends, and for anyone using curling and flat irons.  Personally, I fit this profile on all counts.  In addition, the product is silicone-free and is formulated with exotic oils and silk peptides.  There are no parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, phthalates, GMOs or triclosan.  And it succeeds beautifully in restoring suppleness and silkiness to moisture, lipid-deprived and overworked tresses.

This serum is a winning choice for anyone who wants to restore and maintain healthy, lustrous hair, regardless of hair type, age or gender.  Another excellent product from Phyto!  I have previously used the Phytodefrisant Botanical Hair Relaxing Balm and it also is a powerhouse product that really provides good, consistent results and keeps hair smooth and under control.

Nice Review Tina! I've recently begun using hair serums myself. I'm hoping you will divulge how old are you (want to know if you have youthful or mature hair :)? Have you tried any other hair serums that don't stack up to this one? Wanting to see if this is better than something I've already got on my bathroom shelf...
