I was asked to test Prana Spaceuticals Renewal Eye Creme ($48). The product contains a combination of ginseng, peptides and green tea (I am a big fan of green tea as well as caffeine in my skincare products). I am in my mid-40s, and while I do not have dark circles, I do have somewhat dry skin and crow’s feet (likely because of way too much sun exposure in my youth). I have been using the Prana eye cream for about eight weeks. The product is formulated to help reduce the appearance of dark circles, puffy eyes, fine lines and wrinkles, but the manufacturer does not state how soon results can be seen.
I found the Prana eye cream to be light and an effective moisturizer. It has become my go-to eye cream for day use as it does not cause any allergic reactions, and my makeup goes on very smoothly over this cream. Since I do not have dark circles (thank you, gene pool), I could not evaluate the claims that it worked to minimize dark circles. And I am not prone to puffiness, so I could not evaluate this claim either. If you are looking for a nice light moisturizer for the under-eye area, you may want to give this a try. However, there may be other eye creams out there that cost less and are just as effective moisturizers.
