Dry skin is my nemesis. Like others with this challenging skincare issue, I’m always looking for something that will work just a little better than the last cream I tried. At 50-plus years of age, I finally found the cream that meets the challenge and satisfies my skin’s needs: Primavera Calming Moisture Cream ($44).

When I was given the opportunity to try this product, I was not familiar with the brand and had no preconceived expectations. I loved the name and the amazingly long list of ingredients did indeed offer the promise of both calming and moisturizing sensitive and needy skin. Ingredients such as honeysuckle, chamomile, avocado and apricot oil were quite intriguing.

From my first use, I was surprised by the small amount  that was needed to provide full coverage. The total amount I use is between a pea size to a nickel size. This amount will leave your face feeling fully hydrated, making this a very cost-effective daily moisturizer. It does get fully absorbed – yet for the first few days, right after use, I had a slight sense of a mask-like residue, which was mildly off-putting.  Yet this quickly transitioned into me feeling that my face was being protected from the elements.

As my skin improved, becoming softer and more hydrated, the “residue” sensation disappeared. My sensitive skin now feels wonderfully soft and hydrated. It also looks and feels silky smooth and truly younger. Foundation is a breeze to apply over the cream. I’ve actually begun using the Primavera Moisture Cream at night, in addition to my morning application.

This cream is certified natural with 70% organic plant ingredients giving it a mildly herbal, pleasant scent. Primavera Calming Moisture Cream offers antioxidants and emollients for moisturizing, extracts to soothe inflammation and redness and oils that restore elasticity. This cream promises a great deal, and delivers on all promises. It’s a must have that will definitely continue to be a part of my daily skincare routine.
