Reader reviewed (and rejected): M Lab Body Treatment Cream

At $185 for 6.7oz of body cream, I wanted a miracle. M (iracle) Lab Body Treatment Cream perhaps? Despite my reservations about the price of this cream, I pushed the skeptic aside and got on the bandwagon. I was rooting for this cream to perform its mysterious magic. Every day for two weeks, I used the cream on my hands and elbows with hopes that the elixir would put me in touch with the skin rejuvenation Gods.

Although M Lab advertised 55 active ingredients, I need to see the results of the mix - especially if I am shelling out 200 bucks, whether the economy is booming or not (and clearly every dollar counts in this climate). The cream did leave my hands soft, I'll give it that.

But was there a difference between it and the $25 all-natural hand cream that I bought at the health food store? Well, I answered that question by giving one elbow the health food moisturizer and the other the M Lab. I looked and felt for some - any - difference between the two. I wanted to be able to say that M Lab, while not miraculous, did show a better result to justify the price and advertising. It just wasn't so.

Another element worth mentioning is the fragrance. And I use the term lightly. It's just not appealing. After a while, I got used to the odor, but at first blush it made my nose crinkle. Not the type of atmosphere I am expecting in heaven. My verdict: I am going to pray at another, more economical temple.

Dear Meehna, the best treat for your elbows and knees would be simple cold pressed almond oil (just one simple ingredient!!!) made by us or any other reliable producer who cares about the quality of the raw materials. It has all you need: oleic & linoleic acid to hydrate and lots of Vitamin E (tocopherol) to help with the ageing.
