Does not thicken fine hair

Contains growth factors

Causes fine hair to have fly-aways

Reluma has always been a favorite brand of mine. I have used their face serums off and on fro several years now. When I was asked to try the Reluma Original Hair ($65) and also the Reluma Shampoo ($65) I was thrilled.  I went to the Invitrix Therapeutics website, who actually are a research company that harvests stem cell products. They are the makers of Reluma skin and hair products. So this tells me that their products are made to rejuvenate the body. So will they work?

I have very fine hair although it is quite healthy. I was looking for these products to make my hair appear thicker. So I was excited. All of the ingredients in the serum appear to be great and the first ingredient is Polypeptide Enriched Media which are growth factors I believe. I was unable to check that on the TIA site as it did not come up under ingredients. The same ingredients are in the ReLuma Shampoo as well with the addition of avocado oil. I have used Truth in Aging’s Truth Vitality hair products for a long time, so of course I am comparing the two different products.

The ReLuma shampoo smells wonderful and the serum was easy to apply as well.  My bottom line of these two products are that they are just fair. I actually did not get the results I was hoping for. After four weeks my hair was actually quite flyaway and I did not see any new hair growth. I continued to use the products for another two weeks but still I was left disappointed.

I guess when comparing it to the Truth in Vitality products it just didn’t stack up. My hair perked right back up after using Truth in Vitality for a couple weeks.  I would not say the two products were not good. They were just not for my hair. If you have thicker hair it would probably be just fine. I just did not experience any volume and I was totally frustrated with the fly aways!

So if you are like me and have very fine hair it may not be a good fit for you. I would definitely recommend the Truth in Aging’s hair products (Truth Vitality) though. They last a very long time because you don’t need much to begin with.

I am always pleased to do reviews for TIA because giving honest opinions are what it’s all about. I wish this one was more of a positive but it just was not the line for me as far as my hair. I will continue using their face products though.
