“Youngerful” what a great name for an anti-aging cream!  Don’t we all want to be full of youth?!

Youngerful ($75) is made by Replenish Plus, which was founded by Robert E. Rockwood who worked in the chemical and beauty care industry for 40 years. Mr. Rockwood claims that over 90 percent of the beauty products sold in the USA and worldwide are toxic and harmful.  He set out to create a skincare company that offers all-natural systems which “nurtures soft, radiant skin without the harmful chemicals frequently found in beauty products”. Replenish Plus offers a holistic approach promising that that “anything and everything they put in their products is not only good for the skin, it is good for the entire body”.

They do not use water in their formulations, the ingredients are organic and their skin care line is free from, chemicals, petroleum, petroleum-based additives, dyes, harmful animal byproducts, or toxins. According to the Replenish Plus website, the only ingredients in Youngerful are oils, butters and juices of certified organic and/or wild crafted plants grown in the orchards and rain forests from around the world.  Included in the list of ingredients are two proprietary Replenish Plus compounds, Aged Chaga Mushroom Complex, which the site claims are “are the most powerful and nutritious mushrooms on Earth” and Whole Food Vitamin A, C, E Concentrate.

Their website also claims that Youngerful offers “not only a youthful glow to your skin, it will quickly and significantly reduce the appearance of virtually all of the signs of aging including wrinkling, creping, age spots, blemishes, collagen depletion and/or sun and oxidation damage.  WOW, I was very excited!

I did look up Chaga Mushrooms and found positive information about the fungi.  There is a lack of clinical trials testing the effect but some preliminary research suggests that the extracts may possess antioxidant, anti-inflammatory & immune stimulating benefits.  I also found claims that chaga has anti-tumor properties and can help treat &/or prevent some forms of cancer!  Not 100% sure how than may benefit a skin care line, but certainly, it can’t be bad.

Now a little bit about me… I am “50ish” and have been told I have great skin and look younger than my years (not just by people who are trying to flatter me, but by actual dermatologists).  However, aging is inevitable and no matter how great one’s genes may be….skin sags, loses elasticity, dulls and tone wanes.  Still, “I refuse to go quietly into the night”.

The first thing I noticed (and their website explained) is only a quarter of the amount of cream that I would normally use is needed as it does not contain any water.  It amazing how far such a tiny amount reaches.  I started during my nighttime routine, which was good because even with the warning I used too much. My face looked “greasy” so I wiped the remaining product onto my hands and elbows (a habit I formed through the suggestion of a dermatologist). After the first week, I started to worry that I was going to have to give the “age correction” cream a negative review (which I would do if warranted). After the second week, the first improvement I noticed was on my hands.  My skin was plumper, smoother and more even toned. I wasn’t looking for or expecting a change to the skin on my hands, but it was noticeable…I was impressed. After another week+ the skin on my face did seem more plump and smooth with improved tone. I also have a slight “white” scar (from a scratch) on my cheek that seemed to fade. Did it take years off my skin? No, but I’ve never seen a cream honestly do so. I would like to continue to use Youngerful, assuming Truth in Aging offers it through their website. I think it is definitely one of the better anti-aging creams I have used and, because so little is needed for full coverage, the 50ml jar goes a long way. I also love that the line is cruelty, chemical and toxin free as well as organic.

I recommend Youngerful by Replenish Plus and I do believe it holds up to its claim to diminish age spots, blemishes, collagen depletion and/or sun and oxidation damage. Wrinkling & creping…I can’t promise it will noticeably reduce, but I do feel it gives my face (and hands!) a youthful glow. Also three different women this past week told me my skin looks amazing and asked what am I doing.
