A lip exfoliant and moisturizer in one

Jane Iredale's Lip Drink ($12) has become a permanent presence in my purse - and on my lips. This is a brilliant product. The container is classy (and I can't say that for all of Ms Iredale's products as one or two of them look a bit frumpy), the citrusy smell is lovely and, best of all, it works.

Lip Drink manages to moisturize and exfoliate at the same time. This is one of the few dry lip products that works quickly and you don't need to reapply it every 10 minutes. In fact, I usually don't need to use it more than twice a day.

As well as a zinc oxide sunscreen at 8% (a good addition since lip cancer is increasing), there are nourishing oils such as avocado and aloe. Anti-aging antioxidants come in the form of green tea and vitamin C. Best of all, there is nothing, absolutely nothing to dislike: no preservatives (tocopherol, vitamin E, is a natural preservative) or other irritants that might make me pout.

I will be posting a review of Dr. Hauschka's Lip Care Stick tomorrow. It should speak to some of your questions.

So I tried browsing the Amazon Store link on TIA, and read about Dr.Hauschka Lip Care Stick on one of the reviews under Jane Iredale's Lip Drink. Will this work too, if I can't buy the lip drink? Or what do you think about the Yes to Carrots Lip Butter? I hope you don't hate me for asking so many questions and posting so much! O_O

    Hi Marta,

I tried looking for this product on Amazon.com, but it is currently unavailable. Is there anywhere I can purchase this? My lips are (and have been for the past eight months) in dire need of moisturizing or some kind of treatment. They keep drying up, and I keep peeling them until they bleed (gross, I know). I have marks and tears all over my lips now, and it just won't stop. I've tried many products from Blistex and Carmex to Sheseido's lip treatment to just regular chapstick. Nothing has seemed to work so far; actually, they've all seemed to have exacerbated the situation, if anything. I even asked a doctor about it, and all she could tell me was, "stop picking at it." Well duh! If it doesn't dry up and start to peel on it's own, then I wouldn't have to pick at it, would I?!
If this lip drink (i like the name) really does what it's supposed to and moisturizes while it exfoliates, while also offering sun protection, I'd want to give it a shot. Again, my lips are in desperate need, especially during this winter. Thanks a bunch!
