While I wait for an opportunity to replenish my stocks of Ischia Thermae Body Lotion, I am trying out something new. In fact, Lavanila is a whole brand that is new to me. I swooped on the Body Butter (vanilla blossom) because it has two great anti-oxidants that are still only rarely found in cosmetics: goji berry (also known as wolfberry, I drink a few ounces of goji juice every day because it has a gazillion times more vit C than oranges) and kakadu, another super-duper vitamin C fruit that I have only otherwise come across in Stem Organics products.

Lavanila goes out of its way to avoid doing evil. It contains no petrochemicals, phthalates, propylene glycol, mineral oils, silicone, synthetic dyes, sulfates or parabens.

As well as goji and kakadu, Body Butter as shea and cocoa butters, squalane (from olive oil), olive leaf extract, chamomile, vitamin E and, as you might expect, vanilla.

It is a rich cream, good for those days when the skin really needs some help. It has a pleasant (vanillary), but subtle scent. A very likely contender for Truth In Aging's Five Best.
