There are many things to like and dislike about sharing an apartment in New York City.

What's not to like? Oh, well, you know... having the added responsibility of accommodating their needs and property amongst fitting in and juggling your own.

I came smack up against this reality New Years Eve when the small get-together I had planned unintentionally turned into quite the "rager." Despite my best efforts, despite the multiple warnings of "stay out of this room or else" things invariably got out of hand. Rooms were entered, things were broken, boots were stolen. It was not good. The results: Net damages of nearly $200, hours upon hours of solo cleaning, plus several very awkward days and apologies going forward.

Still, I do like my roommates (and I think they like me, despite the aforementioned fiasco).

What's most enjoyable about living in a nice apartment with two other young women is the sharing of clothes, jewellery and all of the other cumalative sugar-and-spice niceties that us girls gather. In particular, is the very nice shower gel that Jeruschka the commercial production assistant brought home. It is practically perfect in every way!

Pangea Organics Shower Gel Italian White Sage with Geranium & Yarrow ($16, 8 fl. oz) is the sweetest smelling, super-sudsying, good-for-you bath product that I have had the pleasure of lathering onto my body.

Despite its uber-organic pedigree (made entirely without synthetic preservatives, sulfates or detergents of any kind) it has the weight, texture and cleansing power of the traditional alternatives. Plus, it's just so good for your skin and extra-concentrated to last forever.

Pangea Organics uses a trio of oils for intense, nourishing moisture. There's the extra virgin olive oil, the jojoba seed oil, and the hemp seed oil, all of which are anti-inflammatories ripe with fatty acids that work to increase cell turnover and mend and protect the skin from past, present and future damage. White sage and geranium are also super anti-inflammatories and lend a pleasant aroma to the formula.

The reigning champ, however, is the arctium lappa (burdock) extract, which targets the subclinical processes of aging skin particularly well.

Then there's aloe vera, the perennial go-to skin salve, which recent evidence turning up that it also helps to promote collagen production.

Rosemary and thyme extract are cleansing. Witch hazel and yarrow are toning. And fennel will help heal your blemishes. Together, they all work to improve circulation within the skin to help remove toxins and reduce water retention.

And finally, there's the antioxidant Black Elder Flower (sambucus nigra) extract, which helps reduce irritation and soften and lighten the skin, resulting in a brighter complexion.

Purified Water, Saponified Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Hemp & Organic Jojoba Oils (w/retained glycerin), Vegetable Gum (guar) Certified Organic Aloe Vera, Vegetable Glycerin, Organic Essential Oils of: Pelargonium graveolens (Organic Geranium), Salvia apiana (Organic White Sage), Citrus limetta (Organic Lime), Organic Herbal Extracts of: Arctium lappa (Organic Burdock Root), Sambucus nigra (Organic Elder Flower), Foeniculum vulgare (Organic Fennel Seed), Hamamelis virginiana (Organic Witch Hazel Bark), Achillea millefolium (Organic Yarrow Herb), Rosemary Extract.
