It has truly been a treat to review SenZen’s Infinity Never Ending Moisture ($95 in the TIA shop). It came just in the nick of time as colder days descended on the Midwest and began sapping moisture from the air. Each Fall I begin the quest of finding a good moisturizer to help my skin look as dewy and supple as it does during the summer months, and I always seem to be disappointed. Well, not this time. SenZen claims that Infinity is hydrating, soothing, anti-oxidizing, energizing and protecting. That is a lot of work for a cream, but I believe it lives up to its word.
This velvety yet lightweight cream is packed full of good-for-your skin ingredients like hydrating sodium hyaluronate, essential oils and several fruit and seed oils. It also boasts a signature ingredient called the SenZen Energized Liposomal Blend. Its mixture of peptides and proteins is delivered into the epidermal/dermal junction where it does its magic. This is where these special ingredients work to renew a weakened skin barrier and stimulate collagen and elasin fibers. The result is moister more radiant skin that can stand up to the environmental insults our skin faces on a daily basis.
I also love seeing the use of essential oils in this product and was thrilled to see the use of Bergamot and Lavender. These oils have been used for ages for their antiseptic properties and when combined used to balance sebum secretion.
Immediately after trying Infinity for the first time I noticed that my sensitive skin was calm and the redness around breakouts was greatly diminished. This cream goes on like velvet—literally. My skin felt soft, moist and looked even- toned. This is the dewy look I was wanting without the greasy feel.
I am always reticent to try moisturizing products as my 30- something skin tends to break out still. I have to say that initially I did have a few more than normal appear, but I stuck with it and did see much improvement in clarity and a nice decrease in clogged pores around the nose and cheeks which really made me happy. I also found that my skin was truly moistened and that my makeup couldn’t hide the fact that my skin had a glow to it. It looked healthy and fresh even beneath my Jane Iredale. A little goes a long way with this cream and I would imagine that with the small amount that I used in 5 weeks that this cream would last you 4-6 months easily. With a price tag of $95 it makes it a bit easier to swallow.
I also took the time to look up where exactly this wonderful cream originated from and was pleasantly surprised to see the vision and passion behind the skincare line and the beautiful SenZen Spa in San Francisco. Owner, David Spencer, developed SenZen Spa from his own personal experience in using holistic healing to achieve optimal health and wants to pass this experience onto others. I know where I’ll be treating myself should I ever find myself in the Bay area.
Well, the cold weather has come to stay in these parts but I have enjoyed a dewy glow through it all. I want to report that I have been using the Infinity cream for almost 6 weeks now and have appreciated how my skin looks and feels. I stopped for 7 days to see what would happen and low and behold…….breakouts came back as well as blackheads and more visible lines. I think I have found my new day cream. Just remember to apply your SPF.
