According to the brand’s website, Skin QR Organics BioRadiance Botanical Cellular Brightening Treatment ($37) is supposed to help with skin pigmentation, blemishes, dark/age spots, freckles, acne scars, melasma and lightening the skin. The product has MANY ingredients that are supposed to lighten the skin and give it radiance without irritation. I will say this product did not cause any irritation and was slightly moisturizing. However, I don't think it works the same as prescription skin whitening creams.
A little background: I'm 56 and a former sun-worshipper and smoker. The best thing I've done for my skin has been to stay out of the sun, use sunscreen ALL of the time and quit smoking. I've been trying to reverse the damage that I've done by using high quality products. I was really excited when I was given the chance to try the Skin QR product, because I have some uneven skin tone (redness around my nose and laugh lines and a couple of dark spots).
I've been using Skin QR Bio Radiance for a little over a month now, and I should have taken some before pictures to be sure, but I really can't see much of a difference in the appearance of my skin. My pores are less noticeable, and my daughter, who is 26, told me recently that my skin looks better than ever, but I can’t be sure if it's a result of using this product. The dark spot on my nose has not changed at all, and the redness is still there.
I will say that it goes on smoothly and absorbs into the skin quickly without being sticky, and it works well with the other products that I use. In the morning, I wash my face, apply SkinMedica TNS Essential Serum, vitamin C, an eye cream, the Skin QR Bio Radiance, a Paula's Choice serum, sunscreen then my make-up. In the evening, I cleanse, apply the TNS serum, then Renova. I wait at least 30 minutes before applying the QR Bio Radiance cream, eye cream and a moisturizer.
I may take a picture of my skin now, finish the bottle, and then take an after photo to be sure my review is accurate. Perhaps the product takes longer than a month to produce results. If I see any changes, I will certainly update this review.
