Skyn Iceland Angelica Line Smoother- reader reviewed and recommended
With excitement, I received the Skyn Iceland Angelica Line Smoother ($65) to review for Truth In Aging. As a painter/artist, I often attend exhibitions and art-related parties that I, of course, want to look my best for. Who wants to display lines and wrinkles? No matter how well you are dressed, your face is always the “postcard.”
In the beginning, I was in doubt of how to use Angelica Line Smoother, so I went online to read more about it. The Skyn Iceland site describes how stress (and who doesn’t, one way or another, suffer from it?) can damage our skin, and emphasizes that Skyn Iceland products are specifically formulated to counteract the effects of stress on skin.
Angelica Line Smoother does not include parabens, petrolatum, mineral oil, sulfates, phthalates nor dyes and is 100% vegetarian. It does contain a load of plant extracts and oils beneficial to the skin, among them are: ginseng root extract, tomato extract, and Portulaca oreacea extract (Purslane – described as muscle relaxant) and the GABA complex (naturally based gamma-aminobutryic acid), which works as an inhibitory neuro-transmitter.
I used just a little bit on my forehead – where I have strong expression lines – and it went on smooth with a matte finish. At that point, I could either leave just the product on my skin, or use a foundation or BB cream. My first time using it, I didn’t apply any makeup in order to monitor changes. I waited ten minutes, and even though the deep expression line remained on my forehead, overall my skin was smoother. My fine lines were almost gone.
The next day, I used the product on my forehead and under my eyes. I spread it well and applied my BB cream immediately afterward. (I found that if I used too much of the Angelica, it caused “rolls” of product when applying the foundation over it.)
As a test, I tried the product on one of my hands (so that I could easily see the results and compare, hand to hand) and the results were great. In addition to smoothing my fine line, my skin appeared plumped.
I also noticed that the results endured for a good while; I could still see the results four hours later. I can’t say this product is a substitute for Botox injections because it doesn’t make deep expression wrinkles disappear, but this is a great product that does what it says.
I became quite “addicted” to Angelica Line Smoother – so much that I don’t go out for any special event or occasion that I want to give a good impression without using it under my makeup. This product gives your face a more relaxed, younger-looking and fresh appearance. Therefore, I recommend Angelica Line Smoother and thank TIA for providing me with the opportunity to review it.
