This is What 59 Looks Like

I celebrated my 59th birthday earlier this month at The Training Lab, an intense gym in New York City. Thanks to the wonderful instructors - especially, my personal trainer, Colter Mancini - I am fitter and stronger than I was 30 years ago.

A post-workout regimen is important as well and I asked my friends at Airelle for some tips. They recommend two key steps:

#1. Cleanse. Clean your face immediately after your workout. Use a warm clean towel with a gentle exfoliating cleanser to remove all sweat and dirt. This ensures that the toxins you just worked so hard to get out won't re enter your skin! Your skin will look cleaner and brighter post workout.

#2. Moisturize. After excreting a lot of sweat, your skin can start to feel dry. Especially during the cold winter. Use a powerful moisturizer to keep your skin looking hydrated, plump, and dewy. Choose something with natural antioxidants that also helps improve the appearance of your fine lines and wrinkles.

I follow with the Airelle Age-Defying Face Serum ($158 in the shop) because it makes my skin clear and soft with a younger glow. Its signature formulation of Berrimatrix (a turbo-charged blueberry extract) is supposed to improve the texture and help protect and preserve existing collagen.
