Tilth’s Anti-oxidant Foaming Cleanser ($38 in the shop) is the perfect combination between a creamy and foaming cleanser. Just one pump provided the ideal amount of the creamy product that, when activated with a bit of water, creates a soft foam that gently glides over the face.
Finding a good cleanser can be tough, especially during the spring when my skin is still recovering from winter dehydration – but isn’t quite dry enough for a cream cleanser or oily enough for my summer gel cleansers. I found that Tilth’s cleanser provided enough moisture, so my skin didn’t feel stripped. While, on the other hand, the foaming action removed just the right amount of oil from my skin, leaving it soft, glowing and refreshed. It did a great job of removing all but the most stubborn/waterproof makeup, and was a treat to use with my Clarisonic as well!
The hydrating foam is created by a combination of gentle foaming ingredients like Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate (a gentle alternative to sulfates) and Hydrolyzed Amaranth Protein (a natural foaming peptide from organic amaranth) and hydrating ingredients like glycerin. The formula also contains a bevy of beneficial plant extracts with antioxidant properties like horse chestnut, ginkgo biloba, olive leaf and birch bark extract, to name a few.
I would definitely recommend this cleanser to those with combination skin that have a tough time finding a cleanser that can easily balance both dry and oily areas.
