Finding an eye cream that works for me has not been easy. While I fell in deep, deep love with TIA fave Your Best Face Correct eye cream, the price point is a little out of my range right now, and me - and my under eye area - are very sad about that. But now, I think we found a reason to be a happier: Tilth Beauty Eye Wondrous Serum ($62).
Let me be upfront about one important thing: this is a serum, not a cream. Yes, there are ingredients that will help moisturize, but if you are dealing with extreme under eye dryness and crepiness (like me), you'll need to add a moisture boost in addition to Eye Wondrous. But since Eye Wondrous does so many other wondrous things, a touch of a simple, basic moisturizer will do the trick.
I really loved this serum, though it took me a while to realize it. You're not going to get instantaneous results - yes, fine, most products don't give you instantaneous results. But the results I did get from this serum were so subtle, at least at first, that I wondered for a while if it was really doing anything at all. Then, one magical morning, I looked in the mirror. Not only did my under eye area look better and brighter, but my frown lines had decreased significantly. Yep - that's right. Eye Wondrous does double, even triple duty because you can use it around the mouth, on your "elevens", to firm your neck/under the chin, and really anywhere else on your face that you need a little extra firming and line-fighting power. I do love a multitasker that performs, and this one definitely does.
The ingredients list shows a lot to love: peptides, essential oils, stable Retinol, and other natural derivatives. In fact, I only saw two somewhat questionable items on their full list, both of which appear early on: witch hazel water (second ingredient listed) and alcohol (fourth ingredient listed). I am not sensitive to either of these ingredients, but your mileage may vary, so be aware.
Another great thing is that a little goes a very long way. One pump was enough for both my eyes, around my mouth, and down the curve of my chin. That's a lot of power for the pump, given that some all-over serums I have tried don't cover nearly as much surface area. That, to me, means the $62 price point is more than fair because this serum will last longer than you may first think.
All in all, I couldn't find much not to love in this serum. Great ingredients, great results, good amount of product for the price - I definitely recommend trying Tilth Beauty Eye Wondrous Serum. And I may be checking out the rest of their line as well.
