Great for hydration, but needs to be used alongside an antiaging serum

Superbly hydrating

Does not diminish wrinkles

I used Transderma M Moisturising Serum ($175 in the shop) every day for four weeks. During this time, I followed my normal skin care routine except I did not use my normal serum. I have dry skin and I’m in my early 40s.

I was expecting this serum to hydrate my skin, and I was also hoping that it would soften fine lines and wrinkles because it says that it is a hydrating repair on the front of the bottle. Because it is labeled a serum, in my opinion it's implied that it will help with fine lines and wrinkles and it also has the word “repair” on the front of the bottle and under the word repair it says “intense”. Therefore, I thought it would hydrate and also be an anti-aging product.

I used the serum twice a day, morning and evening. Immediately, I noticed a difference in my skin in that it was softer. It also exfoliated my skin as I noticed that when I wash my face there was some dead skin that it removed. Which is a huge plus!! I used the serum on my face and also on my neck because that is what I normally do with my normal skin routine. What I noticed was that there was no difference in my fine lines and wrinkles. The only difference was that my skin was much softer and more hydrated.

Transderma M Moisturizing Serum has some very unique ingredients in it, as well as some that I was already familiar with, such as squalane. I really like the fact that it does not have any preservatives perfumes, or  dyes - so it is better for your skin and your body than a lot of other products that are available on the market. I had absolutely no bad reaction to this product. In fact my skin loves it!

This serum absorbed into my skin very well and it took a couple of times for me to get used to it. In my opinion it is not a serum, it is an oil. You only need two or three drops to cover your entire face and your neck. With a serum, generally you need 5 drops or maybe a little bit more, so I was kind of surprised as to how far the product went. Surprised in a good way! But the first couple of times that I used it, I used too much and had to wipe the excess off. But after I got used to the fact that you only need a couple of drops, there was not a problem. It absorbed immediately into my skin so I was able to go ahead with my skincare and makeup routine right away.

The company's website claims that this serum gets down to the deepest layers of your skin where it repairs the skin’s lipid barrier and hydrates. I do not agree because if it did I would see less fine lines and wrinkles. If my skin were fully hydrated then my skin would be plumper and I would have less fine lines and wrinkles. So in my opinion I think it's a great product to use as an oil not as a serum. It is great for hydration but not for an antiaging product. When I think of antiaging I think of a product that removes or reduces fine lines and wrinkles in this product does not do that.  And because in my opinion it is an oil, I would not purchase this product at the price of $175. There are many wonderful oils that are on the market that absorb just as easily and work just as well as this one in the $10 to $20 range.  If this product was an anti-aging product that reduces fine lines and wrinkles and also hydrated then I would definitely buy this!!  But with this product you would still need to use another serum or lotion that reduces fine lines and wrinkles if that's what you're looking for.
