Celebrities essentially have to look good for a living, and they normally do so with expensive products. Here are some not so expensive and somewhat interesting tools they use for looking good.

Fight Oily Skin: Michelle Yeoh might not be a famous actress in the states but overseas in Asia, she’s much better known. You might remember her from “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon” but chances are you don’t. She had soft white skin and that might be due to her lemon washes. Yeoh uses lemons to rid her face of oil and to help get deep into the pores and for good reason, lemons are said to do everything from fight acne to being able to lighten skin color. To make a batch of the face wash, juice 2-3 lemons, add 2 tablespoons of honey, and mix with some hot water. If you're feeling kind of lazy, you can always try the California Meyer Lemon Scrub from Bryce.

Reduce Cellulite: I first thought Halle Berry was hot when Bill Clinton was still President; that was a long time ago. Today Halle Berry is 45 years old, and she has a baby, and I saw a recent picture of her on the beach - in a bikini. A hamster has more cellulite on it’s body than Halle Berry does. She has been able to keep a flawless bikini body for years and that might be due in part to coffee grounds. Now a lot of people will argue that cellulite is genetic and it doesn’t matter what your size is, you either have it or you don’t, they also claim that you have to deal with because there isn't a cure. But rumor has it that Halle Berry uses fresh coffee grounds to massage into her skin to help reduce the look of cellulite. For a complete how-to, check out Copely’s article about using the caffeinated product.

Whiten Teeth: Yes, perhaps the easiest thing to do would be going to a dentist and having a professional teeth whitening done or maybe buy a gel whitening kit. The ones that you have to stick inside of your mouth with some odd retainer that you have to mold in hot water, because your significant other wants to see you with a mouth guard filled with bleach jelly at night, right? There’s a more natural route you can take. It is believed that Catherine Zeta-Jones uses strawberries to make her mouth sparkle. Strawberries have a ton of malic acid (also found in grapes) which is said to be able to make your teeth whiter. To mix up a formula, puree 1-3 ripe strawberries and mix in 1/2 tablespoon of baking soda, then  paint the paste on to your teeth- let it sit for 5 minutes. Afterward, you can rinse it out and brush with your normal paste. Using baking soda in addition to your regular toothpaste is also a possibility to help whiten but it can actually strip your teeth of enamel so use very sparingly.

Detox: Whatever happened to the days when detox meant eating right and maybe drinking some type of cleansing tea? Demi Moore has taken another path, leeches. Yes the things that you avoid in swamps and rivers. In an interview with David Letterman, she said “It detoxifies your blood.” “And they have a little enzyme that when they’re biting down on you, gets released into your blood and generally you bleed for quite a bit. And your health is optimized. It detoxified the blood and I’m feeling detoxified right now.” Leeches were used back in the day for all sorts of treatments, and at one point people were actually being bled, that’s over with for the most part. But come on Demi, aren’t we past this whole ancient technique healing kind of thing. You wash your hair with Evian bottled water for goodness sake, there’s nothing ancient in that so who are you fooling. According to Doctor Arya Nielson, “There’s no medical study on leeches for detoxification or for beauty.” Leeches are best used for individuals dealing with blood clots in an area or for those suffering with osteoarthritis. After the little suckers latch on, they donate peptides and help thin the blood which can be good for those dealing with inflammation in problem areas, but leech therapy does have it’s drawback. You can end up with an infection, definitely something you want to avoid when going for a detox.

Sunday * I love this comment/suggestion. I don't use blotting cloths/tissues, but I did just now have to go try it...and IT WORKS and it works REALLY WELL! I won't cut them up and use them because my face never really gets so oily that I'd need to do this, but I definitely will kill 2 birds with one stone whenever toilet seat covers are hanging around! Too funny and too good! Thank You SUNDAY~I hope that everyone that does use blotting papers reads this * It's too good to miss!

Your post's are so fun to read Sunil, they make me smile! I'm surprised this one got left out maybe because it seems TOO odd, but I use this trick all the time! Especially during Summer and the beginning of California's Autumn. Sarah Jessica Parker told a beauty secret about those tissue toilet-seat covers and how you can dab a piece over your T-zone...well it is a GREAT trick and the absorption is spot on. I don't end up with that cakey look many women get after using their pressed powder compact over & over again on their T-zone during hot weather. I went to a restaurant supply store and bought my own, cut them up into 4 sections, plus you get that middle :-)piece and keep them in a box for when needed. They were cheap and they work!
