I have always liked perfume. I wore them to go out at night and during the day, winter and summer. I usually gravitate towards flowery and spicy notes and over the years become fan of Givenchy Very Irrésistible
that has mainly rose notes. My other favorites include: Gurlain Insolence
, Lancome Hypnôse
and Chanel Chance
When I read Claire’s series about Ageless Fantasy
and all the wonderful things that one could possibly achieve simply by wearing perfume, I knew that I wanted to try it. It sounded like some magic potion promising youth and confidence forever.
Luckily I sent my response in time and some days later I received package with bottle full of pink fragrance and promise mentioned above. I took the bottle from the box and spry myself with perfume. I expected some incredible fragrance but instead I got disappointed.
Do not get me wrong, it is a nice, fresh scent but very fruity and not something that I would ever pick for myself. My husband also commented on how fruity it was.
Maybe this is only first impression, I thought, this is not my type of perfume but it is not bad in the end. I decided to give it a try, after all, I promised to test and review it. So I started wearing Ageless day and night, to work and to special outings. What happened, you might ask? Well, not much out of ordinary. I did not notice more attention from coworkers. True, at the few social gatherings that I attended people gravitated a little bit closer towards me. But I am not so convinced that it was perfume, skeptic as I am. And then, one thing happened that I did not anticipate. I actually started to like this scent.
So in summary, I do like Ageless as perfume and I will continue to use it on occasion until the end of this bottle. Did I notice any anti-aging benefits of wearing it? Not really.
I also did not notice people around me paying me more attention then usual. Actually my husband commented that this scent is OK but he likes my other perfume better.
Since I do not believe in so called “old person scent”, unless someone is at least 70 and does not take a good care of one, I see no reason to wear Ageless for that purpose. Quite honestly $120 that Ageless Fantasy costs will be far better spent on good anti-aging face or eye potion to keep wrinkles away. In my opinion smooth face is much better in fooling man, and anyone for that matter, into thinking that you are 10 years younger.
So if I ever buy Ageless it will be purely because I like the way it smells on me.
