Video: Clarisonic versus Nutra Sonic brushes

Reviewed by Marta August 8, 2010 6 Comments
Thanks to Mark, we got to hear that there was perfectly good and much cheaper alternative to the Clarisonic Brush called Nutra Sonic. As the Clarisonic is one of my favorite beauty tools, as I was eager to see how the Nutra Sonic would stack up. In fact, it is pretty good as I wrote in my review a few weeks ago. Still there are some subtle differences that are better appreciated if you can see the two side by side. So I made this short video. (And here's a link to another video comparing Clarisonic with the Sirius Sonic)

Hi I am 14 and I have been debating on whether to get a clarisonic aria or a neutra sonic . I read a fair number of reviews on the nutra sonic that it works perfectly but there is also quite a number complaining about the charging and that clarisonic would be better . I have one or two pimples only but I have barely hit puberty and I would really want to invest on a product that can really help my skin. According to some chart the netra sonic seems to help reduce pores sizes and the clarisonic aria does not I am not sure if this is true as this seemed to be purely based on people's review . Please reply me if you have the answer

Thank you all so much for your reviews as I was also trying to decide which to buy. The Clarisonic sounds like the best deal to me in the long run. I often find when you take the cheaper route, 80% of the time I wished I had spent the extra $ and gotten the better item.

Hi Tammy, thank YOU for your additional info. Another thing I would add is that the Nutrasonic doesn't hold a charge for very long and needs to be almost permanently attached the mains.

Thanks so much Marta. I have struggled over a
decision on these two tools for a long time.

I could not find the differences online which
    you so expertly explained.

Wanted to mention also a couple more differences that I DID find online.
One is that the Clarisonic has a 2 year
warranty and the NutraSonic has none.
The second is that the Clarisonic has the
brushheads that are made of a special
antibacterial substance and the Nutrasonic is just plain plastic bristles on the brushhead.
The bristles on the less expensive NutraSonic
seem to irritate a lot of people to the point
they have to stop using it.
The Clarisonic is more gentle but still very effective.

Sorry I did not find your review sooner.
After reading all the written reveiws I could
find and hearing that many people have had the
Nutrasonic stop working and could do nothing
except lose the money they invested, I feel
like I would rather spend the few extra dollars
for the 2 year Warranty that Clarisonic has. Not to mention it seems(by written reveiws) to
    be of much better quality.
Thanks for your Video Review Marta, it helped to make my final decision.

    Have a Blessed Day,
    Tammy

Thanks for the additional wet whirling information Barrie. I wouldn't appreciate the mess either.
