I'd long given up wearing makeup having decided that it was making me look older (not to mention the constant breakouts from my rebellious and sensitive skin). And then I met makeup artist Kristen Arnett. She won me over with her professionalism as well as he intelligent, pragmatic approach that favors green beauty products, but not at the expense of performance. She also has a ton of experience of making the faces of women twice her age. Kristen now writes our popular makeup memo column and helps us curate our expanding makeup line in the TIA shop. That is, when she's not at the fashion shows getting models runway ready. Which is where she is now, but before she left she sat down with me for this video to tell me more about her green beauty philosophy and to give some tips on how older women should apply makeup.
