I was asked to test and review VOYA Me Time Moisturiser ($102), an anti-aging moisturizer, about two months ago. Before I continue this review, I would like to add that I am in my early 50s, have combination to normal skin depending on the season, and am occasionally sensitive to certain perfumes and harsh ingredients. This product claims to help firm the skin with potent, hand harvested seaweed of the finest quality, as well as soothe, calm, protect and moisturize.
Honestly, I like VOYA Me Time very much. I used it every day as both my day and night moisturizer over one of my serums. While it worked well with any one of my serums underneath it, I found it to be especially compatible with Michael Todd Knu Anti-Aging Face Lift Serum ($150) which also helps firm the skin. VOYA Me Time works well under makeup, keeping shine at bay and without pilling. It has more of a matte finish, but provides plenty of moisture. It is very gentle with no overwhelming fragrance at all. Actually, I would call it either a "delicate organic fragrance" or even "unscented".
VOYA Me Time moisturizer contains a range of pro-collagen organic ingredients and seaweed extracts. The antioxidant-rich moisturizer claims to reduce the signs of aging and protect, condition and firm your skin. It is dermatologically tested, and contains calming ingredients such as aloe vera and chamomile extracts. I found VOYA's claims to be true, at least in my case.
The amount of product you think you need is very deceptive. It has an ordinary lotion-like consistency, which made me think I needed more. However, you actually don't need much at all. I suspect it could have easily lasted 3 months if I hadn't used too much initially. It has been very cold here, but Me Time has given my skin plenty of moisture, even throughout the night. I am not sure how well it would work for those with very dry skin, but it certainly did the job for me during a recent cold snap.
I have also taken to using it over my evening retinol. About an hour after applying the retinol product, I put this on over it. I have had none of the irritation that sometimes accompanies my use of the retinol and/or retinaldehyde.
While VOYA Me Time does contain some ingredients way down on the end of the list such as alcohols that may put off some people, I have had no problems at all. I also see it has eugenol as the last ingredient, which I would think would be irritating, but it was not to me.
In summary, I will be adding VOYA Me Time to my regimen, and will certainly purchase it again. I wish that I had taken photos of my neck before and after, as I did see a definite improvement in the sagging neck I am developing. I also felt that my skin looked brighter, plumper and firmer upon awakening. It contains proven anti-aging ingredients and is 77% certified organic. It comes in a tall bottle with 1.7 ounces of product, and though a bit expensive at $102, it is worth the cost.
