A hydrating conditioner from eco-friendly brand

I was sent a full-size bottle of Yarok Feed Your Ends (4oz/$18) leave-in conditioner to review for Truth In Aging and am happy to say that I have nearly used the entire bottle. I was so grateful to have something free of harmful ingredients to use during pregnancy and while nursing (I am now 2 months postpartum). Leave-in conditioners are something I tend to use a lot because I live in swampy hot Florida and have dry curly hair. I find myself reaching for them when I get what I call "witchy" hair - scraggly, dry and fuzzy hair that makes me look unkempt and somewhat dangerous. I also tend to seek products that are more natural and try to avoid the nasty stuff that can irritate my skin and cause cancer (imagine that)!

So, Yarok's leave-in spray is a great lightweight conditioner that is composed primarily of organic oils such as jojoba and olive oil. It smells delicious and although directions state to use on damp hair, I tend to spray it on after I shower as well as when my hair is looking a little dry. I love how it does not weigh my hair down. I do tend to need a little hair gel as well as this product but I do feel like it lessens the need for other styling products. I feel like this would work well on fine hair as well - I have sprayed this on throughout the day and it never made my hair feel oily or look greasy. Did I mention that it smells wonderful? Hair is just one of those things that you want to smell nice. Have you ever hugged a friend whose hair smelled delicious? I don't wash my hair every day so this is great when I want a pick-me-up. It's just nice to have yummy-smelling hair!

Another thing I love about Yarok is that they are committed to helping a great cause. Yarok donates 3% of its annual profits to The Pachamama Alliance, a non-proift that protects over 10 million acres of rainforests in the Amazon. I would absolutely use this product again and feel good that my money was being used to help conserve such a beautiful and vital part of our Earth. I recommend this spray and the company in general.

Ingredients in Yark Feed Your Ends Leave-In Conditioner: Nourishing Vitamin Water, Organic Jojoba Oil (excellent conditioner, makes hair feel silky), Organic Olive Oil (moisturizes and heals damaged hair, tames frizzy, dry or tangled hair), Organic Grapeseed Oil (helps prevent hair loss), Organic Apricot Oil (conditions and softens hair), Organic Evening Primrose Oil (moisturizes hair and scalp, high in essential fatty acids, helps prevent hair loss), Plant Sourced Kosher Vegan Xanthan Gum/Potassium Sorbate (all natural preservative), Organic Essential Oils of Rosemary (nourishes the scalp, promotes hair growth, strengthens hair) and Litsea Cubeba (tones the scalp and adds pleasant scent).
