My face drives me nuts. It seems like I am constantly dealing with some problem sort of skin problem. My skin is in its early forties but is still very oily in T-zone and tends to break out a lot if the wrong product is used. At the same time, it is also dehydrated, particularly around my cheeks, and I’m just noticing those dreaded fine lines starting to appear there. Then it is also sensitive with enlarged capillaries. Honestly, sometimes I can’t decide what condition to tend to first.

So it is fair to say that I am constantly trying new creams just to learn that they either make me break out or that they do not moisturize or, even worse, that they give me itchy hives. Finally, a few months ago, thanks to TIA, I discovered the Yes to Carrots brand and their Yes to Tomatoes line of products geared towards oily/ combination skin. Their Totally Tranquil Facial Hydrating Lotion is my favorite moisturizer of the moment.

It is, in a sense, a very basic moisturizer but it meets all of the above requirements. As a bonus it smells great, will not break your budget at $14.99 nor will it expose you to harmful chemicals. The packaging works well for me as well since I like the pump container that it comes in.

I use Totally Tranquil in the morning after cleansing, along with Fruit Enzyme Mist by Mychelle. And I put it on any other time when I need to moisturize my face during the day. It also works well as base for my foundation.

I am on my second bottle and I can honestly report that I have not experienced any break outs, shine is controlled for at least half a day, and my cheeks are nicely moist. This is a very good product that I will continue to buy and use.
