My hairdresser mentioned to me this afternoon that she uses a skin care range called YonKa (she was switched on to it by Martha Stewart). I took a look at the Fluid Optimizer Phytobio Moisturizer. Despite the convoluted name, I was relieved to find that you don't need a chemistry degree to read the label.
This French brand scrupulously tries to use natural ingredients and this moisturizer is mostly made up of natural oils and emollients, tea (a proven anti-oxidant) and plant extracts.
The only small quibble is with the use of a preservative called diazolidinyl urea, which has a statistically significant record (one in 1,000) of causing allergic reactions. It also turns into formaldehyde, but not formaldehyde gas (which is, apparently, the dangerous kind).
