Fine Lines, Wrinkles

Judging by the feedback we receive from the Truth In Community, forehead lines are a frustrating — and stubborn — issue to deal with. This past spring, I pulled together a roundup of community favorites for smoothing those dreaded forehead furrows, and since that time, more TIA members and reviewers have posted their praises for new finds that really work. The following 8 recommended products — including serums, a cleanser and one unexpected item — have demonstrated proven ability to diminish wrinkles on the forehead and give skin a smoother, less lined appearance.

The Best Forehead Wrinkle Fighters

Medik8 Growth Factor ($160) contains a powerful formula with epidermal growth factors that boost collagen for plumper and firmer skin and that smooth skin by treating wrinkles and fine lines. TIA member Amy calls this serum a "superstar" and says "I have been using for 3 weeks, both am and pm, and have already noticed a subtle difference in the frownlines on my forehead and my laugh lines."

Red Flower Illuminating Rose Collagen Renewal Face Serum utilizes whole rose essential oil concentrate, along with an antioxidant-rich arctic berry complex, to deeply moisturize and hydrate skin. TIA member Joan says "I found [Rose Collagen Renewal Face Serum] to be extremely firming and illuminating. It plumped out the lines around my mouth and on my forehead."

MitoQ Moisturizing Anti-Aging Serum ($119 in the shop) is a new product that has been a huge hit with the TIA community. It encourages healthy cell function with a unique form of ubiquinone that works with the mitochondria, helping to firm skin, smooth lines and diminish age spots. TIA member Angela tried it as a Dare to Try and proclaimed that she has "been hooked on it ever since. It has smoothed the lines on my forehead and neck."

Innarah Line Smoothing Treatment Serum Oxygenated Moisture Serum ($175) is a concentrated repairing serum that helps prevent free radical damage, brighten skin and smooth lines and wrinkles thanks to a powerful complex of plant stem cells, cell growth factors and peptides. TIA member Howard says he is "on an Innarah rush / binge," finding it "amazing in how it diffuses the deeply etched forehead lines."

ReLuma Skin Illuminating Serum ($145/20ml) uses a complex formula of growth factors to signal skin cells and produce new collagen. Together with peptides, amino acids and matrix proteins, it reduces wrinkles, tightens skin and reduces inflammation. TIA member Emily says she was skeptical after reading a review because "it sounded a little too magical or science-fiction-ish." After trying the serum, she declared "I've now been using it (probably only once a day) for about 5 weeks, on my forehead, crows-feet and undereye wrinkles, as well as the lips and mouth area. I am very pleasantly surprised to see noticeable improvement and a softening even or my deepest forehead wrinkles."

Osmotics Lipofill Non-Surgical Filler ($73) is especially designed to increase facial volume, visually plumping and smoothing the skin for a more youthful, contoured appearance. This powerful serum contains rye extract to boost the skin's abilities to firm and lift, as well as sodium hyaluronate to increase moisture retention. TIA member spo says "I've been using Lipofill . . . with the Sirius Aurora LED treatments (3x/wk) and I just love the way it plumps lines on my forehead. My husband says he can't see them anymore! Yah!"

Mukti Age Defence Eye Serum ($91) uses a combination of peptides, CoEnzyme Q10 and Australian native extracts to promote skin elasticity, smooth fine lines and decrease puffiness and dark circles around the eye area. Surprisingly, TIA reviewer Gunilla found that it was beneficial for the forehead as well: "After a month’s use, I’m happy to be able to report that this eye serum does a very good job of seriously diminishing wrinkles on forehead and between brows, as well as (!) noticeably firming up the neck."

suki exfoliate foaming cleanser is a deep-cleansing alpha hydroxy acid complexion rejuvenator that unclogs pores and resurfaces and smoothes skin. Ingredients such as natural sugar, non-GMO rice flour and citric acid (lemongrass) helps to even out skin tone and clarify blemished complexions. TIA member Jan says "I love it. My face loves it. And, I will have to say that after less than one week the wrinkles on my forehead (I'm 52 and my expression lines leave lines even when not expressing!) have been minimized. Amazing product."

Are there any skin care products you've tried from TIA that have successfully diminished forehead lines? Let us know in the comments below!

Hi Esther, there's no reason why a vitamin C product could not be used in association with these.

Wow, I like this community and this group. I have to say that, so far I like the skinceuticals C E Ferulic Serum. Makes my face looks glowy and healthy, not sure about the lines on the forehead though. So my question is, is it possible to incorporate the Vit C Serum with any of these other products? Would appreciate if anybody can help with this.
