I don't know about most of you, but my skin changes drastically with the seasons. When I first received the bottle of YBF Balance ($45 in the TIA shop) to review, my skin was in its dry phase. This would not have provided the proper testing grounds to explore YBF Balance's promise to keep my face from looking and feeling like an oil slick. However, when my skin was at its oiliest it was also raging with acne and I needed to pull out the big guns to get it under control. Finally, as fall approached and my skin was fairly well under control, I began my test of Balance's true power.
The YBF web site explains that Balance was created to help our skin look healthy, feel matte and be calm. Balance reportedly fights against new breakouts as well as helps to decrease the duration and damage of existing breakouts. Balance is the only YBF product that doesn't contain spin trap and lipochroman. But since you are probably already using one of their products that does (or at least you should be ☺) this helps to make Balance an affordable addition to your skin care routine.
I have been using Balance now for several weeks (after I pry it out of the hands of my 25 year old daughter who sadly inherited my challenging skin!) and I could not be more pleased with the results. It does just what it claims… but who would be surprised at that given YBF’s remarkable success to deliver on their promises. Balance gives me the confidence to know that if I touch my face during the day, my fingers will not slide over a layer of oil. Yet when I look in the mirror, my skin has a healthy glow, not a dry dull appearance. I’m not sure if it will keep me from having those nasty flare ups when summer rolls back around and the oil glands flow at full force. However, at this point in time, I won’t leave home without it.
