I was very excited to be chosen to test and review Your Best Face Refresh ($80) and Antioxidants Concentrate ($65 in the shop). I have been using them for 5 weeks now and am very happy with the results.

To give you a little background, I am 41 and live in Chicago where the winter weather really plays havoc with my skin. I have been on a never-ending search for a good moisturizer since I moved here from Louisiana many years ago. It is also rare for me to find an eye cream that doesn't irritate my eyes.

Prior to receiving the YBF samples, my skincare routine was to wash with Mychelle Honeydew Cleanser ($14.51), apply DermaRadient Ageless Eyes and moisturize with April Rain Skin Science Day Rainew in the morning and Night Rainew in the evening. (Just a note: Night Rainew seems to be the exact same thing as Hydropeptide Power Lift ($80) and it comes in a much more economical jar.) I'd been using this skincare routine for almost three months. Ageless Eyes didn't seem to be doing anything fabulous for my dull under eye areas, but it wasn't irritating my eyes and the Rainew products are the best moisturizers I've found so far.

Upon receiving the YBF samples, I started using Refresh as my eye cream twice a day. It goes on easily and sinks in well. The YBF website states that Refresh can also be used to treat deep wrinkles on other areas of the face so I also applied it twice daily to my forehead lines. I really don't have many wrinkles, but my forehead lines are pretty prominent.

After applying Refresh, I smoothed the Antioxidants Concentrate over my face and neck and followed it with the April Rain Rainew products I'd been using. The directions for Antioxidants Concentrate say "apply a small amount evenly to skin, blend with other favorite products or add to do-it-yourself skincare recipes." By itself, the Antioxidants Concentrate made my skin feel dry. Not a good thing. But when followed with Rainew, the dryness was gone.

So, this has been my routine for the past 5 weeks and I can truly say my skin looks better and feels hydrated. The area around my eyes is brighter and my skin just looks healthier. I also have not experienced any eye irritation with Refresh. My forehead lines, however, don't look any better. Maybe I just need to give it more time.

That's great to hear Jan - that you can get the same results with the more affordable Refresh. I find that after 10 days I need to go back to Correct. Right now I am snowed in upstate with only the Dermaxime eye cream - not good.

Reader, you beat me to the review as I too was afforded the opportunity to test Refresh and Antioxidant Concentrate. As a regular YBF user of Correct, Define and Antioxidant Concentrate I was curious if Refresh would provide me with any better results than Correct as I have, not so much crows feet (in fact I do not), but allergy eyes and dryness more on the inside corners under my eyes. I've only been using for about 4 weeks, Correct on my left, Refresh on my right. I must say that I really see no difference whatsoever in the results. The only difference I can see upon applying is that Correct is thicker and leaves my skin feeling a bit more hydrated, and adding Antioxidant Concentrate has not seemed to make any difference to either eye. So, with that said since Refresh is the lesser priced of the two, and with no budge in my budget at the moment, I will continue to use Refresh.
