So, it has been some time since I have reviewed a product for TIA and it was a nice surprise when I was assigned Zinn’s 100% Moroccan Argan Oil ($29.99).  As most who have read my reviews in the past know, I love trying organic products, and Zinn’s Argan Oil fits that bill.  I love that it has been certified by The Nature Conservancy, the Cosmetique Charte Cosmebio, and Qualite France, and that it is a handmade product from Morocco.

One thing I don’t really care for is the screw-on lid for the bottle of oil; the lid is made of some type of metal that has been painted a gold color and has a red tassel attached.  The gold color wears off very quickly and just makes the product look of a lesser quality.  The tassel, though a festive touch, is more of a hassle, and I removed it. All of the other packaging is very functional and nicely-executed.

Moroccan argan oil is produced from the kernels of the argan tree which is native to Morocco. Argan oil is exceptionally rich in natural tocopherols (vitamin E), phenols, carotenes, rich in squalene and rich in essential fatty acids.  There is nothing not to like in this product and I enjoyed using it.  I used it on the ends of my hair to combat the dry, split ends and frizz.  I used it on my face and nails at night to fight winter dryness.  And even though I used it all over my face on several occasions, I didn’t notice an increase in breakouts, and often just noticed how nice and soft my skin felt.  I really enjoyed using this product and may just have to keep it in my anti-aging, moisturizing product arsenal.
