Overview:

Zinn Beauty capitalizes on a theme of ancient and exotic beauty secrets. At the forefront of their campaign is argan oil which is imported from Morocco. The brand remained relatively unknown in The United States until 2009 when argan oil, used mainly by European and Moroccan women, became the latest hair trend.

The Good:

For starters, Zinn says that 98.7% of ingredients are of natural origin and a candid 15.4% of them are organic. Their main ingredient, argan oil is the real deal. It’s full of fatty acids, carotenee, squalene, antioxidants, and Vitamin E which are a great combination when it comes down to healing your skin and hair. The Zinn Beauty Collection’s line includes:

  • Zinn Velvet Facial Cleansing Milk

  • Zinn Revitalizing Anti-Aging Cream

  • Zinn Smooth Body Milk, and

  • Zinn 100% Moroccan Argan Oil

The Bad:

As Marta noted in her review of the Smooth Body Milk, there was among the ingredients  linalool which is a potential carcinogen. Also, since still relatively unknown, buying it online is probably your only option.

The Truth:

Zinn Beauty isn’t well known, but it should be. They have reasonably priced products, all $29.99 or less, and have been certified organic by The Natrue Conservancy, the Cosmetique Charte Cosmebio, and Qualite France. Marta was especially fond of the Smooth Body Milk which she found to be very hydrating, well absorbing, and reasonably priced. She went on to say “Anyway, Zinn’s Smooth Body Milk is one of the best body lotions in its price range ($24.99) that I have ever come across – at least as far as hydrating goes.” If you’re looking for a new hydrating skin care line, Zinn Beauty should be strongly considered.
