Skinveda Tulsi Pore Refiner

This pore-refining gel works three ways to help minimize pore size, clarify the complexion, and balance out the excessive Kapha (congested, oily skin). Tulsi acts as an adaptogen. The Japanese Rosa Multiflora extract has been shown to reduce pore size by tightening the pores at 1% in vivo. While lentil seed peptides help with stimulating the process of exfoliation. Like all products in the Truth In Aging store, Tulsi Pore Refiner has been tested by members of the Truth In Aging community so you can be sure that it works.

I have been testing the Skinveda Tulsi Pore Refiner ($60) for the last month. This came at an opportune time because I recently remarked that my skin was starting to look a bit like an orange peel. I’ve never really had an issue with oily skin or breakouts; however, I guess with age comes enlarged pores. So, I was very interested to see the results this product might yield. In addition, I have been following the reviews for Skinveda on TIA, which is a natural skincare line. The company’s website states that this product works to minimize pore size, clarify complexion and balance out congested and oily skin.

The product comes in a glass bottle with a dropper and is a gel-like serum with no discernable smell. I used it every morning, even though it is recommended for twice daily use. I have definitely noticed a refining of the pores and am very pleased with the results. Generally speaking, I find that pore refining serums include harsher ingredients than I like to use on my skin. So the Tulsi Pore Refiner was a welcome change.

The primary active ingredients touted for the benefits of pore refining include lentil seed extract, ocimum sanctum leaf extract (tulsi or holy basil) and Japanese rosa multiflora extract. The Japanese rosa multiflora extract helps to tighten pores. Tulsi helps to regulate oil production. Skinveda states that the lentil seed peptides help control sebum and its oligosaccharide content in turn stimulates the process of keratinocyte maturation, eliminating nucleated cells from around the pores. I can’t really comment on what the science of that means; however, I did read that the developer of this product line, Shilpi Jain, began as an R&D scientist. So, I’ll take her word for how the lentil seed extract ingredient works.*

But, the bottom line is that I did notice a reduction in pore size and did not experience any of the hormonal breakouts that I tend to get each month. Further, I did not have any adverse reactions or sensitivities while using this serum. I look forward to continued benefits and will be checking out the rest of this line.

I waited an entire month to review this product because I wanted to give an in-depth and accurate review. One like I like to read. I feel that Skinveds’s Tulsi Pore Refiner is one of the best products on the market and this is coming from someone who has tried nearly all other products. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

Inexplicably, I found myself staring into craters that had suddenly appeared on my nose. Toners and AHAs didn't help and so I bought the Tulsi. Within just a few days, my pores started shrinking. Great treatment
