Size: .5 oz (15ml)

Sonage High Impact Vitamin C Serum is a light water-based Vitamin C extract that helps protect against UV damage, fine lines and discoloration. With micro encapsulated active emollients to help reduce water loss and signs of dehydration, this serum leaves the skin radiant, firm and fresh and perfect for those who need an extra boost of hydration. The water-soluble formula with an extra boost of vitamin c also boasts an array of antioxidants to help cell turnover and skin immunity. Our community of reviewers have approved products within the Sonage line, and now it's your turn to try the highly recommended serum.

The high impact formula includes orange and grapefruit extracts as well as Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) that helps reduce appearance of brown spots and other types of sun damage, boost healthy collagen production for firmer skin, and reduces inflammation and irritation. Glycoproteins help further hydrating and regenerating the skin, which enables faster healing, anti-aging, and increases collagen and elastin. The serum also has Bee Pollen Extract that acts as an astringent while rejuvenating, softening, used to treat eczema and dermatitis. Simply pat the serum onto your skin after cleansing and drying to see your skin transform.

Tested for 30 days and recommended by Michele:

When I was asked to test Sonäge High Impact Vitamin C Serum, I was a bit apprehensive. Testing it would mean that I would have to give up my Dr. Dennis Gross Triple C Peptide Firming Oil for a month. Don’t get me wrong, I am avid in my search for new and better products that will enhance my skin. However, I also have a few favorites that have proven to be game changers and Triple C Peptide Firming Oil is one of these. In the quest for new and better products, I decided to go for it! So what did I discover?

I should preface my review by giving some information about myself and my skin. I am one month shy of my 67th birthday. I would describe my skin as thin, dry and sensitive. I was also recently diagnosed with rosacea after experiencing a breakout of what looked to be the adolescent acne that I never had as an teen. Thankfully, medication has proven to successfully eradicate it. I’m pleased with my skin at my age. My main complaints would be loss of elasticity and dryness.

My expectation in using this product was that it would make my skin more luminous. I incorporated it into my daily regimen twice a day. In the morning, I applied it to damp skin after using Hylunia Rosewater Toner, then layered Hylunia Hyaluronic Oil Free Moisturizer and ClarityRX Get Fit Serum over it. Of course, I finished with a sunscreen: Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Sheer Mineral Sun Spray. At night, I again applied it to my wet skin after the toner and layered it with the hyaluronic moisturizer and Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic and Retinol Moisturizer. Since my Rosacea diagnosis, I have also layered Difinsa 53 Skin Protectant Lotion as a final product before bed.

There are eight active ingredients in Sonage High Impact Vitamin C Serum. Orange fruit extract is known to reduce sunburn and has a mild bleaching property, while grapefruit extract promotes hydration and has antioxidant properties that resist free radicals from sun and pollution. Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) stimulates collagen synthesis, reduces hyper-pigmentation and helps with UV protection. Tumeric root extract helps to regulate oil production and has antioxidant characteristics. Glycoproteins help with cellular repair and beta-carotene also assists with hyper-pigmentation. Bee pollen extract is used as a skin softener and to treat eczema. Lastly, safflower seed oil is highly hydrating and holds moisture in.

The inactive ingredients are added to stabilize, thicken, preserve and increase the skin conditioning feeling of the product, as well as add a citrus fragrance. There are no parabens and the inactives are considered to be fairly benign, from what I have read.

Finally, I will give you my opinion of the product. It is pale orange and has a medium consistency. It is in a plastic container with an airless pump that works flawlessly. The serum feels silky and goes on smoothly, sinking into my skin almost immediately. I feel that my skin has really benefitted from using High Impact Vitamin C Serum. My skin does look luminous and feels slightly tightened and smoother.

I have a few more days left in the container, so I would say that it will last for about one month if used twice a day. At $32 for half an ounce, I think that it is a worthwhile investment. I will continue to use it, but may do so in the morning and use a different type of serum at night.
