Elena Rubin Incognito Eye Serum

Elena Rubin Incognito Eye Serum

Size: 1.0 oz (30 ml)

Elena Rubin Incognito Eye Serum is a a heavy-hitting eye serum that does it all: lifting sagging lids, de-puffing the under-eye area, reducing crow's feet and brightening dark circles. Despite its serious dose of actives, this treatment doesn't irritate sensitive eyes. Not only has this product been reviewed and recommend by a member of the TIA community, but also by Marta herself! Because both of them have tested this eye serum for a full month, you can try it yourself with confidence that it works.

Elena Rubin has thought of everything in formulating this serum. Wrinkles around the eye area meet their match in Matrixyl 3000, which helps build collagen. Chrysin derived from passionflower reduces the pigment of dark circles. Finally, moisture-retaining actives keep the area supple and fresh. To use, gently smooth around the eye area, tapping into place, and watch as your eyes transform!

Tested for 30 days and recommended by Sarah W. :
I was offered a chance to test out a new eye serum called Incognito by Elena Rubin. Surely nothing could be better than the one I had used for years. I read the blurb and was instantly seduced by Elena Rubin’s fine credentials: a Harvard engineering graduate with a high-powered career who looked like a movie star (and had a youthful upper and lower face to boot).

I started to use the eye serum morning and night and quickly became really pleased with the results. The white, silky lotion does everything E'shee AO does at half the price. I found it relaxed lines, lightened dark circles and smoothed the skin texture around my eyes. It also deflated undereye bags after late nights of too much rosé. Plus, it lasts for ages — I still have a lot left after two months.

However, though the first month was going well, using the eye serum twice a day became a teeny bit drying. I wondered if I would see improvements by alternating Incognito in the morning with the AO in the evening. The results were remarkable. There’s no more dryness, and the difference to my eye area — and my wallet — is palpable. This is the optimal eye regimen for me going forward.

As for the science? Well, Marta tested Incognito extensively over a month and her analysis of the ingredients cannot be bettered. Briefly, anything I have ever used with age-defying Matrixyl 3000 has always worked really well for my skin. Incognito also contains a slew of impressive peptides, flavonoids, botanical oils and collagen. It’s largely organic, but not all the ingredients are natural. There are a couple of preservatives, namely sodium benzoate and phenoxyethanol, that I’m not overly keen on. However, this is a really effective eye serum that I will be sticking with.

Our Take

I refused to wear braces on my teeth when I was younger and came to regret it, so I went to an orthodontist when I was 45. He took a lot of photos of my face and divided them into two sections on his screen:  “From your nose up, you have a very youthful look,” he said pointing to the... read more

Since I've been a TIA member, my eyes have become my biggest OVERALL challenge in aging gracefully. More specifically, despite bad drooping eye lids (requiring me to prop one or the other up @ nite to read), my Plastic Surgeon tells me that I do not meet insurance requirements for repair (the ONLY surgery OR injection that I currently plan to undergo...I'm more for 'natural' aging gracefully w/ a LOT of topical assistance...). That being said, I also have developed extremely noticeable under eye bags which wax & wane despite my aggressive hydration, both topically and by intake--I drink 3-4 liters of water a day. These alone, in my opinion make me LOOK (not feel!!) @ least 5-10 yrs older. They are recent and unrelenting. The Truth Vitality Lux Renew has literally minimized almost ALL of my other skin care concerns...along w/ the fantastic products I've settled on with TIA (after spending a fortune to find the ones that work the best for me. I have SEVERAL grateful friends and relatives who've found themselves the recipients of WONDERFUL TIA products!)

When I used up the last of Sciote's Firming Eye Cream, I decided to step up to the age 60+ eye care recommendations (see article on TIA about good eye care products for each decade--excellent!). I chose the Elena Rubin Incognito Eye Serum which is part of my eye care in the A.M. I'd already switched to ExPürtise Effective Anti-Aging Eye Serum (to replace Amarte's Eyeconic Eye when it was discontinued from the TIA store for a time) to use in the A.M. I continue to use Sciote's Vitamin C Eye as a base for eye care in both A.M. and P.M.

I did not experience an immediate "shout from the rooftops" difference after my replacement with the Incognito Eye Serum. However, after about 6 weeks of use I've realized that my eyelid texture is improved and the bags under my eyes have lessened. The only product I'd changed for my eye area during this time was this one. I do not have significant issues with crows feet or under-eye darkness, so I cannot report on these issues. The eye dropper dispenser does not seem to work well so after carefully washing my hands, I' dip my index finger along the side of the dropper and gather a pea-sized amount to use on both eyes. The texture is wonderfully silky and there is no discernible scent. I 'sandwich' this product OVER the Sciote Vitamin C and under ExPürtise Effective Anti-Aging Eye Serum. So, there is sometimes a bit of gentle massaging required to get the 3 to absorb into the extremely sensitive under-eye area. I've tried foregoing the ExPürtise and do not have the overall eye area-correcting features that seem to work for me.

I need to add that this is my morning eye care routine. In the evening, I use the Sciote Vitamin C for eye, AQ Skin Solutions Eye serum (on my eyelids, lashes, eyebrows and under eye areas) + YBF's Correct. I WILL be keeping Elena Rubin's eye serum as a part of my eye care routine (unless/until my surgery is approved!!).

I would love to try the Hydrating Toner Primer. It would be wonderful to find a primer that both tones and hydrates, really could be one of the top products. I have very dry, sensitive skin so think I would be a perfect candidate to try this! Hoping you agree.

I would definitely try this if I had a sample based on your review. Have just been introduced to the Drunk Elephant products and love them.
