The independent and candid reviews on Truth In Aging are authored by me, Marta, the Truth In Aging Team and members of the Truth In Aging Panel of Reviewers. They are based on our personal experiences as consumers. Our opinions are shaped by the product's performance and by our individual knowledge of the ingredients and published findings of research studies. These reviews should not be interpreted as medical advice.
Do you filter your reviews?
No, we do not filter our reviews. We give a thorough and objective evaluation based on testing for at least 30 days. Only products that have been through this process and are recommended are then selected for the Truth In Aging shop.

Can I order a product not carried on your website?
If we already carry the product’s brand in the shop, we may be able to special order it for you. Please note, however, that all special ordered products are final sale and may not be returned. To inquire about this, please contact Customer Care at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I’d like to test before I buy. Can you send me a sample?
For certain products, it may be possible to send a sample. Product/shipping fees will be applied unless shipped as part of an order. To find out about sample availability, please contact Customer Care at email@example.com with your location, full name and the product(s) you would like to try.
I want to buy a product that you reviewed and I can’t find it in the shop.
We review a lot of products, and not all of them make it into our shop. Usually, if the product is sold in the shop, a link to it will be included within the article. If you are not sure, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will let you know if it is available. If we don’t sell it, we may well be able to tell you where you can buy it, or even suggest similar products that we do sell!
How do I know if I’ll be allergic to a product?
We encourage all customers to educate themselves on our products and ingredients prior to making a purchase. Our Customer Service team is highly knowledgeable about our products and happy to answer any questions you may have; please contact email@example.com. Unfortunately, we cannot accept used items back if you are sensitive to some of the ingredients, or have had an allergic reaction. My airless pump does not work, the product won’t come out. What to do?
Airless pumps are a fairly new technology. It keeps oxygen and bacteria out of the container, preserving the integrity and in many cases - efficacy of the product. If your pump is not functioning properly and the remaining product won’t come out, there are 2 things you can try: 1. Try turning the product upside down with the cap on and then banging it against a wash cloth-covered hard surface. While still upside down, remove the cap and try pumping a few times to see if the product begins to flow. 2. Alternatively, you can take a paper clip and insert the wire in the hole in the bottom, then apply pressure there as you pump the bottle. This will usually unstick the bottom. How do I find out when the next sale or promotion will be?
The best way to be notified of upcoming sales and promotions is to sign up to our newsletter. Find the link on the right hand side of our homepage. Better yet, as a newsletter subscriber, you are entitled to 10% off ALL your orders over $50, every time you shop at Truth In Aging!
How do I use the discount (coupon) codes?
If you received a promotional code and would like to apply it, you must first create and confirm your account. Many codes will only work if you are signed into your account when checking out. After you have added your selections to your shopping cart, proceed to checkout where you will find the “Discount Code” field on the first page for you to enter any promotional codes you may have. Make sure the code is entered exactly as it appears on the newsletter/marketing material. Don’t forget to click the ‘apply coupon’ button once you have entered the coupon. Please note, only one promotional code can be used at a time.
Help! I forgot to apply my coupon code at checkout.
If you forgot to apply a coupon code when placing your order, please contact us immediately at email@example.com. We will need your full name, order # and the coupon code. Provided that your order has not already shipped, and that the email is sent before the promotion timeframe expires, we will go ahead and credit the coupon code to all applicable products in your order. Your refund will be issued to your account once your order ships. Unfortunately, if your email is sent after the promotion has expired, or if your order has already shipped, we may not apply the coupon code to your order. We regret this inconvenience; however, because we hold regular promotions and ship hundreds of orders every week, it is impossible for us to credit all customers who do not use a coupon code at the time of checkout.
I put in my coupon code but keep getting an error/am being told it is invalid.
When using a coupon code, please note the following restrictions: - Only one coupon code can be used at a time. - Coupon codes cannot be applied to products we’ve already discounted for you (i.e. TIA Exclusives/Collections, stock up and save items & any products on sale). - We are unable to discount products of the following brands: Amarte and jane iredale. Promotional codes can generally be used up until 11:59pm PST on the expiration date indicated.
Payment & Transactions
Wait, I forgot to add something to my order! Can I add another product to my order?
While we would never deprive you getting everything you want out of the TIA shop, unfortunately, our system does not allow us to manually edit your order. Feel free to place a separate order for your next product, and we’ll do our best to combine it with a previous order. You can also add a comment in the ‘Customer Comments’ textbox at checkout, which will be sent directly to our Shipping Department.
Can I place my order by telephone?
Unfortunately, at this moment, we cannot offer a telephone order service. If you are having trouble placing an order online, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will try to assist you with any issues via email. If we are not able to help, please provide a telephone number and one of our representatives may be able to contact you and take your order via telephone.
My credit card won’t work/I get an error message when I try to check out.
Truth In Aging currently accepts all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. When checking out, please make sure information has been entered correctly as cards will not be processed if there are any discrepancies between billing address, names, zip codes, phone numbers, etc. If you are still having trouble, try clearing your browser's cache and try again.
Refer A Friend
How does refer-a-friend work?
To refer a friend, log in to your Truth In Aging account. Receive a $15 credit every time a friend you invite makes their first purchase. Following receiving an email invitation, referred friends must register and confirm their accounts prior to purchasing and will automatically receive 15% off their first purchase (some exclusions apply). Each email address may be referred only once.
How do I Refer a Friend?
To refer a friend, you must have a Truth In Aging account (or create a new account). Once you have created an account and logged in, you may refer a friend by (a) clicking the ‘Invite Friends, Get $15’ link at the top of any page atTruthInAging, or by (b) logging in to your account and clicking the ‘Referred Friends’ tab. - Fill in your friend’s name and email address. You may also edit the Subject and Message of the email that will be sent to your friend, if you wish. You do not need to add a link to the site, however, as this will be done automatically. - Click ‘Submit’. You will receive a green message when the invite has been sent successfully. If the friend is already a member of our site, you will receive a red message, and this friend may not be referred. - You friend will be sent an email inviting them to create an account with us. Your friend must follow the link within the email to create their account, and then confirm their account. If your friend does not follow the link sent within the email, and instead creates an account on their own by visiting the site, you will not receive your discount. - Once your friend has created his or her account, they must then make their first purchase. As soon as their order is shipped, a credit of $15 will appear automatically in your shopping cart. Please note that, to view this credit, you must be logged into your account. A new $15 credit will appear in your account for every friend you refer to us, using the method above.
What are the Terms of Refer a Friend?
Each email address may be referred only once. Each $15 credit must be used in full. Any unused portion of the $15 credit will no longer be valid.

I referred a friend, their order has shipped and I still don’t see my $15 credit
Please email us at email@example.com, quoting your full name and email address, as well as the name and email address of the friend you referred. We will be happy to investigate this for you.
Rumor has it I can get 10% off my order over $50 for being a newsletter subscriber. Is this true?
It is true! As a newsletter subscriber, you are entitled to 10% off ALL your orders over $50, every time you shop at Truth In Aging. After you sign up, you will receive instructions on how to use your subscription discount. We’ll also let you in on any current and exciting promotions we have going in the TIA shop! (Some exclusions apply.)
I subscribed to the newsletter, but did not receive the 10% off my order as promised.
When you subscribe to the Truth In Aging newsletter on our website, another window would up with a coupon code to access your 10% discount. Please keep in mind, the subscription discount needs to be manually applied at checkout, and will not automatically be deducted from your order. A minimum $50 purchase is required for the discount to take. Please note this discount will NOT be applied towards any sale/outlet/clearance items, duos & collections we've already discounted for you and any stock up and save options. Discounts can also not be applied on any products from Amarte or jane iredale. A reminder of your subscription discount is included in every newsletter.
What is the TIA Rewards program?
With TIA Rewards Points, shopping for your best anti-aging products is even better. More points=more savings. Earn the most points when your shop in the Truth In Aging store. The Truth In Aging Rewards Program was launched on September 27th, 2013.
What do I receive with points?
For every 2500 points you've earned, you will receive a $15 credit for you to use on any future order in the Truth In Aging shop!
How do I earn points?
You must be logged in to your Truth In Aging account to earn rewards points.
Points can be earned in a number of ways:
• Sign up for a Truth In Aging account, earn 500 points.
• Sign up for the Truth In Aging Newsletter, earn 500 points.
• For every $1 spent in the Truth In Aging shop, earn 5 points.
• For every review left on a product in the Truth In Aging shop, earn 25 points.
Note: Comments left on articles are not eligible for rewards.
How do I redeem my points?
Once a rewards points balance has reached 2500 points, the points can be redeemed for $15 off your next order. You must be logged in to redeem points. At checkout, select the check box that indicates you to use your rewards points under "Payment method" to automatically redeem $15 off your order.
What is the minimum number of points I can redeem?
Points can only be redeemed in increments of 2500. Any unused points will remain in your account for use at a later time. For instance, a balance of 3500 points will allow you to deduct $15 off your next order, while 1000 points will remain in your account for use at a later time.
What if I don't want to use my points yet?
Your points will be stored in your account for 365 days or until you are ready to use them.
I just placed an order and forgot to log in! Can I still earn rewards points?
You must be logged in to earn and redeem rewards points. If you've placed an order as a guest and missed out on your points, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I just placed an order and earned points. Can you apply these to my current order?
Any rewards points earned via a purchase can only be applied towards future orders.
I have old orders that I never received points for. How can these be added to my account?
The Truth In Aging Rewards Program was launched on September 27th, 2013. New accounts, subscriptions, comments, and orders created only on or after September 27th are eligible for rewards points. If you feel you've missed out on points, email us email@example.com for assistance.
