TIA Review by Amiee:
I am 63, of European descent with fair ivory skin that is somewhat sensitive. At 63 I have been surprised many times when people say to me that I have beautiful skin. It must be inherited, because I have been frustrated with various skin problems all my life: acne and problems with clogged pores.
I decided to try BRAD Biophotonic Bio-Fermented Algae Concentrate Intensive Healing Serum because its name led me to believe that I would be trying a very hydrating serum and that maybe it would give more moisture to my skin. I have to say, though, that my first experience with this product was very disappointing. It is called a serum, but it is a gel, and it is very dry when applied. It also made my skin look very dry, even drier than my skin looked before I applied it.
However, because I agreed to test this product, I kept on using it, and to my great surprise, I have found that I really like this product! Here is why:
Every day for two weeks I checked out my skin to see if there was any difference. For the first week, I saw nothing and my skin felt dry to the touch of my fingers. I did not feel dryness, though, when I would open my mouth really wide (that is one of the tests I use when determining whether or not a product is actually drying out my skin).
In the second week, I started to notice some smoothing of my skin when I looked at it in the mirror. At the end of two weeks, I experienced a huge surprise: For many years, I have had some clogging of pores that would cause a hard lump that would not disappear. One lump on my nose eventually became infected and I had to get a strong antibiotic from an MD. Another time, a few years ago, the lump on the back of my neck became infected and I had to have it incised at the ER and take antibiotics for it. This is VERY frustrating, especially since about two to three months ago, I started to get two clogged pores that turned into lumps on my chin. So, at the end of two weeks of taking the BRAD product, one of the lumps flattened out and the dried core came out! YAY! And, the second lump is also disappearing! This is really amazing to me!
Also, the lumps in my jaw area in front of my ears that I have complained about have almost disappeared, and the slightly lumpy areas about an inch below my eyes have totally disappeared!
I am really excited about this product. I have tried so many others and none worked to remove the clogged pore issue I have been experiencing for many years. This is a winner! As an Herbalist, I know the power of herbs and flowers and roots; in this case Turmeric (great anti-inflammatory) and Yarrow (also an anti-inflammatory, but it also repairs old, worn out skin due its silica properties). This may explain the slight tightening of the skin around my mouth and chin area. Overall, I think that the fact that this product contains 98 sea minerals that are fermented is the main reason this product works so well. We all know the importance of eating/using fermented foods. Here is some more in-depth information as to why fermented foods and, in this case, sea minerals, are important. If fermented foods can heal the body from within, then, I believe that fermented products can heal the skin from the outside.
I will keep on using this product until the bottle is dry!

Thanks for a great review Aimee and, especially, for persevering. What a testament to the need to really stick with a product over time to understand what it can do. And the extra information you provided on fermenting is a real bonus. Thanks again!
