I tested the Truth Vitality Brow Empower ($39 in the shop), and I must admit that until I was steered in the direction of Truth In Aging, I was uneducated and fell under the spell of the big names in the beauty industry instead of what I should have really been focusing on when buying products for my face, body and hair. I was pretty much in the dark as to what products and ingredients really work for my age and what ones really don’t. I am happy to say I am on my way to being educated and am able to recognize ingredients in products that really are good for me thanks to the TIA website and Marta’s helpful informative details.
A few years back, I noticed that my eyebrows and eyelashes were thinning. My eyebrows seemed to be just kind of disappearing at the ends. I have never over-plucked my brows, and they have always been full, so this was a weird phenomenon to me and not one I was really happy about. After a bit of research, I discovered that as we age, some of us just lose hair on our brows and eyelashes; this could be due to numerous factors (medication, genetics, etc.).
After reading Marta’s review and several others on AQ Solutions Lash Serum ($135 in the shop), I purchased this product and was extremely pleased with the results for my eyelashes. A safe product that works, it didn’t produce Brooke Shields type lashes, but it helped me grow many more than I had prior. However, it wasn’t working on my eyebrows, so when the opportunity afforded itself to Dare To Try the Truth Vitality Brow Empower I jumped at the chance and was glad to be chosen.
I am happy and confident to report positive results! This copper peptide, emu oil packed gem does trigger new eyebrow growth. It’s a slow process — after two weeks, I did see slight results (and this may have been quicker than average since I had been using the AQ Lash Serum on my brows), but after four weeks, I definitely had some new growth. I still use some powder to darken them as am I over 55, so gray hair is more prevalent than any other color. But hey, the hair is there! Unfortunately, this does not work on my eyelashes — I tried and was most hopeful as obviously this product is much more cost saving than the AQ Lash Serum. But for eyebrow growth this product is a winner! The only negative I have to report on this product is the applicator. I had some difficulties with it, as the top portion came apart, but I was still able to get the serum out just applied it with a sponge-tipped applicator, which actually worked out better as I was able to achieve a more precise line.
Editor's Note: Truth Vitality Brow Empower is intended for use on your eyebrows only.
